Yea bro after your last video I’ve been finishing way better in the rec, holding up on the stick when getting past my defender is just way better than using the button for some
You speaking fax bro 🙏🏽 Crab dribble definitely helps so much. I play Rec and when I use it on my guard it forces the other defenders to open the paint as they don’t know what to do other than get to their man since they not used to seeing that.
There are so many hidden animations this year due to pro play. For instance the strong handle spin off the defender for an easy dunk. You can spend a year on the game and still not find the animations. I'm still trying to find that curry animation behind the back into a layup from the trailer
The strong handle spin has slowly made its way since next gen I believe, but your point stands in general! So many new animations this year that we’d go an entire cycle and miss them if we didnt try!
I’ve been loving the different animations you get from hop jumpers pointing the right stick in different directions. DBook has some smooth animations you can shoot or dribble out of
@@stats222 I know he's my starting pg. I also really like Dr js layup and dunk animations. Also Giannis has a meter dunk where he euro steps through the lane slowly bumps the defender off, almost comes to a complete stop and then rises for the slam

I would say Gold and then +1 to HOF if you like. I wouldn't go to legend just because the strength requirement is so large (unless you're going the plus one route or you have cap breakers). Gold feels great, and that's what I'm aiming for and then boosting it to HOF using one of my Max +1s.
Thank you man. I make a prime Ben Simmons build every year and have been struggling with the layups this year. Implemented your tips with legend physical finisher and it’s been a game changer. Starting those animations from the 3pt line has been working great
It wasn't always this way, but I did start working on them a lot even though they were not at their best in seasons 1 and 2, but I can definitely say they're in a WAY better spot now!
I would take baby steps if you're coming from real player percentage. So try with meter on and normal risk, once you get comfortable turn the meter off, then go high risk as you continue to develop the muscle memory and familiarity with the animations!
You’ll rise up for a pull up if your defender is in position to bump you into one. So you need to make sure you create a lane and an advantage. Otherwise also make sure your body is angled towards the basket. Otherwise a different angle will cause a pull up jumper
Always on high risk, and it’s really good for tough layups as long as you got the badges and ratings. 99 percent of the people should stick with real player percentage though. But i will say for most layups, this is the closest its felt to 24 (except for long scoops and rangey floaters)
Never thought layups are this good until you exposed it man. Will incorporate in my rec games hoping with you as my team mate. See you in the rec bro appreciate your contents im really am a big FAN !!!!! 🎉
Great tutorial Chef Cruz 👨🏼🍳, I’m a bit curious to know when is the right time to release the stick/ shoot button when timing layups because the layups in your video have layup meter turned off
Question regarding the layup timing profile: do you use with the meter or no layup meter while playing online (Mycareer) ? Does it have a higher green window like jumoshots?
You can literally see there’s no meter in the video and Kevin Cruz plays high risk but normal will be fine. Tutes got a video showing high risk is best now
No meter, layup timing on high risk brother. Took me a while to really nail it, and I've been working on it since launch. But now it feels really good. Gonna take some work to get really good, but the last few layup videos I did are the sauce!
@@KevinCruz016 been watching your vids you’re smooth with the moves. I have 90 driving layup and it definitely feels better since the last buff to timed layups. I switched to low risk and meter on and it’s been good. I get a lot of greens and I’ll make some early/ lates. My issue is when I’m getting contested by a decent defender or better, the timing is different and I’ll miss it. I use Kyrie layups and it isn’t too bad I wish I can register the jelly’s more tbh lol
I find the ai forces you into awful layups or straight up fouls from the ai if you layup too early but i'll put some practice in and see what happens. Currently feel like James Harden with the amount freethrows i get.
Fouls ain’t a bad thing! But, it’s about figuring out the right floor space for you to make sure you get it off! If you’re not getting much success, keep in mind about the point about the advantage and the lane, and make sure you go up right and up left!
How u do the spin cheese to go by your defender ? A lot of people do that online and feels unguardable. People run and spin on the defender and still go forward for a layup
Need strong handle, just get into any contact animation with your defender and spin away. Easy counter is to have high perimeter d of around 80+ to stop at least good strong handle spins. HOF and Legend need a higher perimeter D rating
I swear brother it’s coming, it’s just I was reviewing my rec footage and I’m not terribly enthused about playing MyCareer modes again because of the playerbase. I’m so mad they destroyed floaters this year. I need something to combat the paint sitters. Now I’ve been relying on euros, reverse lays, and D. Fox’s normal square/x lays.
Try Stephen curry layup package. (Only for small guards tho). But man I have a 96 layup rating and I'm making tight contest layup over 7'0 centers . his floaters are quick and has a high arc.

Try it with real player percentage i have a 6'4 pg with a 77 layup and 85 strength and i get layups on everyone you just gotta plan and wait til u see ball clear
