I just wanted to know something about loades stretching and kept watching these parts--- and it all just comes together! Thank you so much for the easiness of the explanations and the good introduction in this topic.
Fantastic series, Coach! We'll explained and easy to follow. I only wish this was all in one video. Still, I appreciate the high level of info you've put together here. Thanks!
Coach, I watched Barbell Medicine a while ago and read their articles, and they explained why stretching and mobility training are useless. Mobility and flexibility comes with strength training through full ROM and in the eccentric portion of the lift. What's your opinion?
Imo it depends on the individual. If youre extremely active throughout the day than id agree with barbell medicine. But if you just hit the gym for a few hours a week and else just spend your time sitting or laying doing some mobility work a couple of times a day seems legit. If you train for 2h and sit on ur ass for the other 22 which one do you think is your body gonna adapt to?
@@copeenthuisiast5453 hi. A few hours a week are more than enough to increase joint mobility. Plus more and more studies are showing that stretching isn't beneficial in any way, and isn't the greatest way to improve movement pattern potentials, as well as non-specific "mobility" drills. I re-watched the video and I got a clear answer. Thank you.
@@copeenthuisiast5453 doing the quasi-isometrics in an extreme position (90 deg or smaller joint angle) will improve active mobility AND improve strength in the whole range of motion. There’s research on that but I can’t remember the title of the studies rn.
