    Beautiful work. I have a couple of questions. How do you keep the cut ends from poking skin or snagging clothes? Do the wire discolor the skin?

    • @fatterperdurabo42069
      @fatterperdurabo42069 6 місяців тому

      You press the ends tight together/to the piece so they're flush, and copper will corrode and it can rub off on skin plus some people can have allergic reactions. You can coat it in a clear nail polish base coat or similar to help with this though.

    Why do you hammer the tree base and the pendant loop? I assume there is a reason, just not sure what it is. Thanks!!!

    • @handytrendytutorial
      @handytrendytutorial  2 роки тому +1

      I hammer to give a flat texture and also make it strong because when you hammer metal it will turn hard.

    Can someone help me out. Is the copper less likely to break from twisting compared to the silver wire? I've never made jewelry let alone wire wrap prior to this. All I had was 26 gauge silver wire so I made the hoop with four 13" 26 gauge twisted, the only issues I had were the final branches. Maybe like four broke off I'm assuming from too much twisting on my part. Not a huge deal because they were spread out. But I'm about to make my second and want to know if you're intentionally alternating the direction of the twists. Does that help prevent over-twisting/snapping? I have to make four more before Xmas because family liked the first one so much. But now I have 18 gauge copper and the 26 gauge silver wire.

      I wonder if you could just tighten the wire ends into a drill or a dremmal tool 🤔

    Also. Any tips for doing this while one hand is in a splint? Like a way to safely hold it in place without the use of my left hand? I have to make four in the next two weeks but everything but my thumb is wrapped to a splint on one hand. So I have my whole dominant hand and only a thumb on my off hand. (imagine a lobster claw) 😂

    Why did you speed up the video? This is complicated and we need to see it SLOWER not faster than real time

    • @kaleylynn6565
      @kaleylynn6565 2 роки тому

      You can change the playback speed by clicking on the settings. You can slow it down to .75x, .5x or.25x. Alternatively, you can speed it up as well, 1.25x, 1.5x and 1.75x as well.
