      You could do this sketch today if it included one bank employee character who was black, law-abiding, and civil, which would help comedically to underline the absurdity of the armed gunman employee through contrast, in addition to avoiding casual perpetuation of racial stereotypes. Not to mention how it would illuminate that the real issue is economic status, which, although unfairly systemically connected to race, is a more nuanced and humanized depiction. I know you might be thinking that's not as good, but if Chris Redd was just a regular guy working at the bank when this stuff is happening, it could be one more way for the sketch to be funny.

      That's why he pistol whipped her under the impression she was calling the cops. He wanted to spare her of feeling as though she was being undermined by a coworker with the blunt force trauma to her head while he spoke to the client and closed out a very profitable client. After she recovered, he quickly apologized and reestablished work relations so that the productivity of the bank wouldn't be compromised.
