In the end Mother's won :D.. Some people don't know but the Devon House patty is actually made by Mother's. It's a part of their premium line of patties.
I think when you come off the airplane in Jamaica a group of employees from the tourism board should welcome you with a curry goat patty and a Red Stripe. I’m Dominican 🇩🇴 living is 🇺🇸 but I absolutely love Jamaican food.

There's a Tastee right outside the airport in Kingston where we always stop, not the one inside the airport. My mom will order a couple dozen for pickup on the way to the airport so we get it fresh and when I get to Fort Lauderdale they're still hot.

Tastee's location in Cross Roads easily has the best patties! Meatloaf is great as well. Definitely get there before the lunch time rush, freshest patties hands down

So you are apart of the Jamaican diaspora, and also called Jamaican born outside Jamaica, and can claim your Jamaican citizenship I suppose?
My only drawback on the review is having them eat a very hot hot patty. You have to make the patty sit for like 10 mins to make the inner crust soaks up some of the meat / filled on the inside.
Most Jamaicans eat it that hot, if it isn’t, they will reheat it. Taste better that way

Like you , I had not visited for sometime and now I am going every year for at least 10 days -2 weeks. I was shocked went I went last year and saw that Starbucks is there and the people are driving BMW and Mercedes Benz cars.😃

On my visit to Devon House last week, I tried Lobster, curry goat, chicken and beef. All were good but the Beef was the best.
