- May 16, 2004 - With their backs against the wall and facing elimination, Richard Hamilton and the Detroit Pistons overcame a 13-2 start to edge the New Jersey Nets 81-75 in Game 6 of the 2004 Eastern Conference semi-finals. Hamilton scored a game-high 24 points, including a leaning jumper through Jason Kidd with 15.5 seconds remaining that sealed the game for Detroit. The source footage for this play in particular was abridged, so the highlights are as well (4:08).
Detroit's Game 6 victory came just two days after a devastating triple overtime loss to the Nets at The Palace of Auburn Hills. With the series now knotted at three, the Pistons took the Nets back to The Palace where they eliminated New Jersey in a 90-69 Game 7 win.

People forget Richard Hamillton was their offense vs the nets and pacers...neither team was easy to score on but after learning from mj he was hard to guard off ball using screens cutting...those wizards years paid off

This game reminded me a lot of the Red Wings' 2002 WCF Game 5/6 where they lost in OT at home in game 5. Both teams faced elimination in Game 6 on the road, but pulled it out and won handily in G7. Both teams would go on to win their respective chsmpionships...
