  • As seen in some other videos, a lot of work had to be done on this machine to even get it running in the first place, but once it was a runner, all sorts of other faults became apparent. It is not completely out of the woods yet, but definitely going the right way!

Hello Mr. Henshaw. Your clients are the luckiest in the world. They have a man who really cares about getting it right, no matter how long or how much it takes. Thanks for another great ride.

Just recently learned that my uncle had one of these in the 1950s and unfortunately passed away in an accident on it. What a beautiful machine it is though, he must have had a lot of fun on it

Hi Paul, really enjoy your jaunts in the Welsh countryside. I'm in Australia but will be in UK next year, maybe come say hello 👍

Sounded quite good for most of that journey until it sounded a bit fluffy. Must have been the point you had fuel flow problems. Takes a lot of skill and patience to sort it all out.

Let me be frank: whatever issues that may remain to be sorted notwithstanding, I'd rather get my leg over that octogenarian Ariel than any 2019 model year bike on the market. There goes your proof that new ain't always "improved". My hunch is that old gal will still be thumping down byways somewhere when every last Ninja or Rebel has long been recycled into sewer grates.

I totally agree, Bill. Funnily enough, I had been thinking while on that ride how bikes like this Red Hunter were the CBR's of their day, how things change!

Paul do you notice a big difference in ride between telescopic forks and girders, I’ve never ridden a girder forked bike.

Hi David, I have to say they are not as harsh as I expected them to be, but there is more scope for them being incorrectly assembled and set up compared with telescopic forks.

Hey Paul I have a 1967 750 norton atlas and I don’t know much knowledge on it. Is there anywhere I could find more information about it and how to work on it because I would love to rebuild the bike and get it back to all its glory.

Hi Jarrett, manuals are available and there is plenty of information on the internet - go for it and good luck!
