I want a dynasty. I lost my champion viking. And only thing I've found close is a star firebird. Viking had a rim like a roadrunner stability of vulture.
I found the same thing. I loved it at first when I was getting great distance and a beautiful S flight. But like you said a few months into using it it began not coming back and eventually started cut rolling. Which is when I swapped it out for the CD-1 that I thought was to overstable previously but I found it was absolutely perfect after beaten in. 👍
I've been using an Ethos Construct since they came out and that discs has the most beautiful flights. Especially good on forehand and you get nice forward hyzers.
Supreme Escape is my most used disc in long wooded courses. Castle Hayne in NC is my most played course right now and I throw it off 5 tees on the front 9, all different lines.... such a workable disc and it wants to go freaking far.
My z Undertaker is awesome for hyzer flip to flat for dead straight forehands. My escape (same numbers) is alot understable almost a -2 to -3 turn. This slot is a definite in my bag.🤘✌️
love my Dynasties ! Got both EO halo , S Line and a I blend one . for stable -> flippy . I think concrete one is more stable . idk how a CD1 will fit in it .
I love the Tesla and think you are correct when you get one into advanced seasoning. Out of the box however, they have very different flights compared to a new Dynasty/CD1 in every plastic I have tried (all but fission). My 1.5 year old plasma Tesla might be the perfect fairway driver in regards to controlled distance. My month old Proton Tesla is just outside Firebird level stability and has very different uses.
@@axlespelledwrong my beat in plasma tesla is my work horse and I love it, my second is a fission and it does get more distance but is definitely more stable than the plasma was when it was brand new but I do love the fission tesla for forehand flex lines
I second this. My Halo Savant is really nice and pairs well with the flippier Dynasty actually. I've got a slightly beat in Swirly S-Blend Dynasty that will flip up and turn and also a Metal Flake Color Glow Dynasty that will flip up and holds straight. The newer Halo Savant holds that stability just a touch more than the Dynasties, but isn't quite as stable as my Luster Thunderbird. I like the slot the Halo Savant is holding in my bag right now.
I had this same kind of issue I had a strike and a Mason Ford Getaway that was too stable and now I put in a new CD1 and took out the getaway and it’s great
I threw the Tesla for a little over a year but when the new Discmania CD1 came out I immediately switched. The CD1 is what I what a really seasoned Tesla flies like. But for me fits a lot more comfortable for backhands.
Awesome video bro! FYI - I have tried all of the dynasty plastics and throw similar distances to you. The swirly S blend is a touch more stable than the c blend and the halo dynasty is much more domey (baby thunderbird) in my opinion. The I-blend is in the middle of those. The metal flake is similar to the S blend. If you want the same CD1 flight but still playing around with a dynasty - check out the swirly s blend or the metal flake 👍🏼
I bag a couple Muskets for this slot. Super workable, backhand or forehand. One is really beat in and just flies perfectly straight, other one is fresh domey and has a good finish.
I just recently added a CD1 to the bag and I have to just echo how nice they are for forehands. Especially in the woods, if you need to high a tight gap and finish right, they're money. And they backhand great too. I think it will complement your honor the same way an FD-type disc would complement your strike.
Latitude 64 saint kinda falls into this slot, has served me well and beats in to a good hyzer flip / turnover disc especially at faster arm speeds. Plus it has really good glide 9/7/-1/2
@@mattdavidson535 I have a lower arm speed (throw around 315 regularly) and my disc is in their premium plastic, took a while in my experience for that to be the case. If anything its a good understable 9 speed with great glide.
Dynasty is one of my favorites. Infinite has been by far my #1. I totally agree about the strike too, it doesn't power up well and is so freaking touchy when you do power up on it. I replaced it with a dynasty! I would also recommend MFGC. Seems to last forever and stay true! Also might start a tad more stable like you are looking for.
I had a fully beat in explorer that I used just like you use your strikes, but the plastic was weirdly soft and after a few unfortunate gashes and a missing chunk, I decided to retire it for the safety of my hand. Every other explorer I've tried has just been slightly too overstable for what I want it to be. The saint has nearly completely replaced it for me and become my go-to fairway/control. It pushes on hyzer, it flips up beautifully when thrown flat, and can hold a big anny. I can power down for shorter sub 300ft shots where I used to throw the explorer or I can crank on it and get it about 90% the distance of my drivers. I got one of the new moonshine explorers that's a little more overstable and now I just use that as my beefy 7 speed. I also have an honor in the bag, but it is just slightly too much for my arm and is closer to a firebird for me. But I would give up everything and just keep the saint if I had to.
I would go sline dynasty then metal flake then halo for the stability slots. Sline turns a little. Metal flake holds straight then halo s is like a tick under the honor. All three are a deadly combo
Dude! Just yesterday I was looking for a video of CD1 and here you are! 😂 just bought two orange ones and waiting to test those bad boys up. Maybe you can make a video of DM:s color/stability differences 😏 anyway keep doing good content love to watch it bro!
My favorite disc I have recently bagged in the last year was my DD lucid raider. 13 | 5 | -0.5 | 3. I throw like 375 ft right now. Starts out as a flat throwing disc for me and beats in to a solid hyzer flip to flat disc. Straight out of the shop the only disc I know to compare it to is a more glidy destroyer. With arm speed like yours you would probably see some pretty good distance out of it.
This is my favorite slot in the bag. Gives great distance, but less left to right movement compared to a distance driver. Also, much better for forehands than a 7 speed. I actually bag a Dynasty and an Escape. Eventually I’ll probably use 2 dynasty’s, but for now I like also having the flippier Escape as an option
The Lucid Air Escape works perfectly for me in this category. If you like discs more in the range 0f 170-73, just go with the new Supreme Escape. Worth a shot!
I have similar layering in my bag at 7 and 9 speeds. I have a Leopard3, a Votom, and an Eagle for 7 speeds. Then I have a glow Lift and a champ Thunderbird in 9s. I'm still figuring out my Flippy 9 and I might add a Firebird, Fireball, or Omen for utility. I think the slightly straighter, pushing flight of the Votum and Lift compliments the Eagle and Thunderbird perfectly.
So many good options for this slot. I don’t personally use mine a bunch but the Diamondback and PP Z undertaker are also incredible. Always glad I have one of them in the bag. Beat in ESP vulture is another one I use in this slot after it’s done working as a forehand flip up. When I’m feeling smooth and strong it makes it’s way back in the bag or if it’s a bit too windy for a Diamondback/undertaker.
Would you consider the Diamondback true to it's numbers, or a bit more of a 9 5 -1 2? I am considering getting one in Apex, but hope it isn't less stable than it's numbers.
@@axlespelledwrong I have a max weight white that is close to those number on the more stable side and a 172 that is a little more flippy than the numbers would suggest. Also have a swirly apex max weight yellow that is right on. I find find the yellow swirly apex/cosmic neutron plastic to be some of the most stable mint/mvp has to offer. Hope that helps.
@@chrisdwarz I coincidentally ended up buying a white max weight DB for myself after seeing a few videos of people throwing them, showing off a more -1 flight, so I think I'll be happy! I've been grabbing some Mint molds for the first time lately and I love them. The flight of an Eternal Alpha is someting that MVP seems to be missing in their line up. It's the best Teebird type fairway I have thrown.
@@axlespelledwrong that’s awesome. I love mint and do everything I can to spread the word. I personally bag the firefighter stamped sublime alpha for that Teebird style slot. They have a vault at the new shop and I wonder what runs of alphas they might have locked up in there.
@@chrisdwarz I saw that, the shop looks pretty sweet! BTW, I tried out the DB in my past few rounds and love it. It has a good amount of flight integrity while still being shapeable. Exactly what I was looking for in the 9,5,-1,2 class.
I'm digging the white cd1's. I haven't compared any of the other colors to it yet. I may grab another color this weekend and see if they fly different. The pushing hyzer of these are what has been pushing out my big jerm Thunderbird. I'm hanging on to the 22 barsby eagle for my 7 speed over stable slot and the fd for straight shots.
I throw the Axiom Insanity for this slot. I throw a Halloween Glow for slightly overstable, Nuetron and Proton for Stable, and Fission for slightly understable. Fission and Nuetron beat in nicely to understable bombers.
I've been trying out the dynasty and the thought space construct, the finish line era and infinite aztec. One of the forged Eras I have is AMAZEBALLS (purple) the other one was flippy out of the box. I currently bag 2 aztecs from the miss-print run (12 i think) one of them is crazy pop top and flys like faster teebird3 with small flip and glide (lots of glide) and then a consistant finish, but the other, less domey one is more like a faster TL3 - just a different color of the same run... they both bomb.
The C-Blend Dynasty is known for being one of the more understable runs of CD2-mold. I recommend trying a MFCG or a Halo Dynasty instead. Those are closer to the original CD2 flight. Also check out the Innova Viking, too.
I should make a list of discs you don't trust 100% on ypur baby hyzza release and buy them... Since the rim och the Scorch is similar to the Head (convex and smooth filling the hand) i bought a beautiful pueple in Big Z. Threw it 7 times and then it were in the bag that had been set for over a month... the day before my first sanctioned event (MA4) ofc, it got thrown second most during the round (not counting putters for short approaches), perfect for picking a line on standstills and just watching it hold it, and from the tee it gets a little flipup from a hyzer and turns just a bit if I put over 300' on it. It can surely get to +350' on a stright hyzerflip for my current power, will be a great longer turnoverdisc when I get to the next step!

Cd1 beats in to a smoothy. It will rival a distance driver unless you’re needing to reach towards 450 or more. They top out at around 4-425 as far as ideal flight goes. They’ll push further, but they start getting less reliable past that when beat in. Just a humble opinion. Also, the darker colors seem to be a bit straighter out of the box.
