Zelda (TOTK) Riju Sage of Lightning Theme Piano

- Another strong theme, reminiscent of Urbosa'a from Botw but with more energy/flair. This version of the theme is the slightly extended one used in the cutscene after you beat the Scourge of the Lightening Temple. Which order did you do the temples/Sages (3rd for me).

The sheets have a few slight differences from this video. Think of this performance as more of a rough draft where as the sheets represent the final product. I may include ossia passages for future uploads depending on how stark the differences are.

=====(The Details/Performer's Notes)=====
This arrangement sticks very close to the original track with only a few key differences made for dramatic flair. Riu's theme is a bit more challenging to play than Yunobo's, due to all the large left hand leaps, octave passagework and rapid triplet repeated notes in the right. Also the march-like section (each Sage theme used in the post-boss cutscene has one) of this theme has layering/voicing in the R.H. that can be tricky if you're not used to 'dividing' the hand. The upper melody needs to project and be phrased independently of the underlying harmonic chords. Good luck. Sheets will be linked in this description when they are finished.
Your Pianist,
Erik C.

This guy literally has the best piano adaptations on UA-cam, nobody comes close
Him and Kyle Landry are both awesome :p
Rousseau is great as well
You're right
Another sage theme down. A bit trickier than Yunobo's. Up next: Wind? What order did you all do the temples in?
Edit: I did (Wind, Fire, Lightning, Water, etc)
Edit edit: Sheets now available in the description!
In my three playthroughs I've always started with wind and then fire but the last two are a toss up. It's mainly because wind helps with everywhere else and then fire is right there between Akkala and the Hebras
Water, Wind, Thunder, Robot. I have still no idea how to navigate in the Fire Temple.
Fire, wind, water, lightning, sage of spirit. I find that the boss in the lightning temple was the hardest
beautiful adaptaion my firend :) I did Wind -> Water -> Fire -> Lightning :)
Wind, Lightning, Water, Fire, Time for me!
I don’t why, but this reminds me of a Studio Ghibli song 😂
WoW looks good ❤
Why do so many people misspell "lightning"? Not throwing shade at the video, it's just an observation I've made as of late.
Because people are enlightening
Dang. Oh Autocorrect gods, why hast thou forsaken me. This one's on me. Been a while since I had a legitimate spelling error, not just a mistype, in these things. Man do I feel silly. Haha
favourite sage out of the four
Love the nod to Urbosas theme at the end
Great work per usual my friend! Still haven’t made my way to the Gerudo region even though I have 100+ shrines 😂 I’m going to try to record another TotK vid today, it’ll be my 3rd day of trying before vaca 😪 Also was that a little Easter Egg of Urbosa’s theme? Wouldn’t know bc I haven’t heard the theme in game yet!
Yes that was a little tribute to Urbosa at the end (not in the original track sadly). Good ear. Also gl with the recording. I'll be looking out for the video soon.
I CANT WAIT FOR THE WIND TEMPLE THEME!!!
Your piano covers are always incredibly gorgeous. Thank you for what you do.
Glad you like them!
I’m not even kidding this is the best cover I have ever seen of this song. ITS SO GOOD! also I was wondering if maybe you could do tutorial videos because I’ve been really wanting to learn this song on the piano. PLEEEEAAAAASE!!!!!❤😊
Love this guy I learn a lot from his videos
Bro I absolutely LOVED the video! It always brightens my day when I see you have a new upload. I have a really eager request. Can you make a synthesia video of one of your first vids: Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald Credits??
I really want to learn this one but its hard to tell what exactly you're playing from the camera angle in that video and you haven't released any score for that arrangement. It would be absolutely GRAND if you could upload that video!
Great suggestion. That's one of the earliest covers on the channel.
You’re insanely talented. I’ve been watching for years and have listened to your botw covers dozens of times. I’m looking forward to the zora theme, there’s some incredibly beautiful music towards the end of the zora area right before you do the boss fight, im really hoping that gets included. Thanks for all you do man
an excellent successor to urbosa's theme!
amazing arrangement as always ;)
That was gorgeous, the ending was very very nice! A beautiful cherry on top of a magnificent performance!🎉
It was a pleasure to listen to this! Can't wait for the sheets and thank you for uploading your performances!
Erik cooked 👀🔝
i did the lightning temple puzzles second, then did the water temple and came back
I hope you do Colgera's Theme. I have no doubt you can do something incredible with that.
How long does it take you to learn and upload a piece? Beautiful btw
Hey I was just wondering how long it took you to become this good at piano because I just bought my own a little less than a month ago and was starting to doubt my self of learning the piano but watching your vids inspired to start learning agian😁
I've been playing for over 20 years and have a BM and MM in piano performance. The key is to consistently practice (and have good practice habits but that's a different story). 30 minutes most everyday will always beat out that cram 4hr practice session on the weekend. Also be patient with yourself. Gl.
please do colgera battle next!!
He should do an adaptation of the Dragonhead Island theme from TOTK
l’m your fan from Taiwan, and l hope u can play the sidon’s theme next time! your piano is sooo good
I'll get to him eventually! Planning on doing Tulin next though.
@@ErikCPianoman thank u
Only that sage is missing for me, but the theme looks really cool. Thanks for this cover! 🔥
(Spoiler) Can't wait for your take on The Final Fall 🙏
I love the zelda soundtrack on piano ❤
What piano do you use, or which one do you recommend? it sounds so pretty
This piano (my current one) is a yamaha p-515. Go back 2ish years and it's my old yamaha p-255. Go back even further and I started arranging on a yamaha p-125 which you can hear currently on my cohort's channel Ryan Z 'Piano Guy'.
I like the yamahas especially for the excellent VST/piano sound sampling. The action and feel can be a bit heavy for some. Kawai also has very good high end digital keyboards.
You should do colgera’s theme
👀
Please feel free to make more TOTK content. Beautiful music
Didn't play the two latest games yet, but one thing I'm certain the songs are astonishing
This sounds a lot like something that Issac Albeñiz would compose
Incredible. Only reason I delayed listening is cos I had to get to this point in the game first 😁. Really love how it builds with all those rich repeating chords.
Could you do wonderwall next?
