This great little bit of tech is way overdue. Next they could add a laser anemometer so the thing can predict real time windage adjustments and place the pins accordingly.
@@scalleewagg9746 exactly what he said, many state will not allow the use of something electronic on your bow ie. sight, knock, etc. You should always look into a states rules and regs.
I’m not sure about the 45 minute set up! Got mine yesterday and still have a headache from initial set up. But once int on, ITS ON! Incredible accuracy on range finding! Went from a 4.6 lbs set up to a 4.8lbs when I added sight. My bow was a little heavy to begin with using a 10” stabilizer on my Vertix.
Do I need to align peep and site like in traditional sights? I am thinking about this sight as a red-dot, so in red-dot sight world the eye does not have to be in the exact position.
It's as accurate as other sights and it gives you the pin for your desired range, so all things considered it should be more accurate, accuracy typically comes down to the person and shot execution. We have been really impressed and have been putting groups together better than ever without ever having to range the target.
Hey, have you ever had an issue with other things messing up your range? Like a branch or stump etc? How do things in the field of view affect range finding?
How well does the unit range distance in the woods with lots of trees, branches, and the like? Does the range finder tend to pickup that interference more easily or misjudge the distance on a deer walking amongst the trees?
It's not nearly as often as you would think, using the reticle to pick your spot seems to help with that. If all else fails in the trees you can always double tap to get to your fixed pins 👍🏼
@@keeferbrothers Thanks for the response! I bought the unit and still have a big 8 walking around here in Ohio that I hope to test it out on. It was a bit of a challenge to get the dot in the center of the O but eventually got it without having to crack open a bottle of bourbon...but it was close!
All about perspective. Good bow sight is going to be $200+ add in a range finder and you're surly over $600. In the end you're right about where you would be buying them independently!
I'm sure there is an attachement for it. That being said, just getting back into archery myself, I can see the benefits of this site and it has me strongly looking at picking one up. Mainly for the ability to have multiple arrow profiles.
The pin size for the Xero A1/A1i can be changed by adjusting the brightness setting of the pin. The lower the brightness setting is the smaller the pin diameter will be. The smallest pin size diameter would be .007" and can be increased from there by increasing the pin brightness.

Probably not that far off.
I’m getting one but I’m not pumped about having to switch back to another sight when I go elk hunting next year
That will be about the ONLY thing you don't like about it haha!
Why doesn't it suit elk hunting?
Wm TT it’s illegal in Idaho, Montana, Colorado and a couple other western states. The only one I know where it’s legal is Wyoming.

@@keeferbrothers ah thx, makes sense. Wasn't sure what was not allowed specifically. Am UK based so bow hunting is a no for me anyway.

It's a bit to get dialed in but so easy once you get through it.
What kind of batteries and how long do they normally last?
2 x AAA batteries lithium average 1 to 2 years

Great question and yes you do. Same idea as a traditional sight with pins, it just moves the pin position on the glass.
Can the sight be removed and replaced for travel without losing zero?
I'm sure it can be but not by design
So it is more innovative but is it actually more accurate.
I can peg clay pigeons at 60 yards but my rangefinder is my crutch when I'm in the woods.

Not a single one thus far. We have been testing them while sitting out there too and have been unable to create a problem.
will be possible to put a lens to magnificate the image and reach long distances, with more precision? Would Work it.?Thanks

Incredibly expensive too

I have the Xero A1i. Bought it this summer, hunted this fall. Best sight out there right now, no doubt.
We're really digging ours!
Any magnification in the lens?
No magnification
What's the difference between the $800 model and the $1000 model?
dheller777 $1000 model has ability to store arrow profiles
200$...
It is just missing a camera!!!

why would you want to use fixed pins if you can range and it sets accurate pin for you to use????
It’s one touch to fix pins in case you can’t get accurate range or have low battery it defaults to fixed pins. However same battery for 2 seasons
Great review! I’m really interested in this sight. I was wondering, what’s your opinion on the weight of the sight? That’s my main concern.
Thank you! It's a little bit heavier but not that noticeable.
I know it is kind of off topic but do anyone know of a good website to watch new tv shows online ?

@Alvaro Arturo Thanks, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :D I appreciate it !
@Reese Brayden no problem xD

$1000.. for a sight. Hmm im out.
Not for everyone but it replaces the rangefinder which is gonna put you back about $800.
I’m intrigued by it but I’m too taken with my hogg father sight. Maybe on the next bow I’ll give it a whirl
