Hey guys, what's up?
11th playthrough as Original Guile (Guile from Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers). As like Guile from ssf2t he was one of the best pick you want, Original Guile has better frame recover allowing him a extra sonic boom (you will see it against gief and sagat). Original characters don't have gauges like Turbo characters, this is it guys, Sonic BOOM.

Always cracked me up how whimpy the characters voice, especially Guile, was in this particular version. Like he sucked helium or he's singing "Sonic boom" the original SF2WW / CE characters had lower tone and Bass, sounded way more threatening, even the Fierce punch attacks sounded like a whip crack, or a exaggerated strike sound fx from a Bruce Lee movie. Listen to Ryu/Ken scream "Shoryuken!" Compared to this version. It's a big difference. I always thought the Q sound sounded squishy. Even the remix music, and round announcer voice was shifted up an octave....good game. Just unexpected audio alterations.
CyberdelicXP Right till this day I remember playing OG SF2 on my genesis. And questioning guile’s vo.
Hit sound effects in WW/CE sounded overdramatic and unrealistic. Couldn't care less that the announcer is more high pitched or that guile's VA is different than the OG SF2's. Heard these complaints a thousand times since the late 90's and guess what? Super Turbo is what is played competitively world wide. CE/HF is played far far less and I don't care about them anymore. CPS2 graphics still amaze me and I will never trade them for the outdated WW/CE graphics. Far as the music goes, I love the CPS2 soundtrack WAYYY better. Ken's stage especially. Very awesome.
Godfist314 I don’t think dude ever mentioned gameplay..I agree this is the definitive SF2 experience...but who in the hell heard guile’s voice during testing and said “ yep that’s perfect, a family man voice right there”

Guile's combos was always a bit on the broken side. Back in the days, people would fight each other because the loser got sick of guile. It's like guile's combos was not meant for the game lol. One combo and you are stunned, and the next combo, you are KO'ed. God help you, if guile catches you with a corner combo haha

It never works for me 🙄
You have to select guile then press Up, Down, Down,Down then jab he will say "Sonic Boom" If done correctly
