The 000 sounded the best to my ears. I played the previous generation of these and was pretty impressed. With the improvements it makes a viable instrument to play outside in the heat and cold or just enjoy it anytime.
You say one of your favorite things is the E1 electronics but then you never demo them. Makes it hard to figure out what this guitar is going to sound like plugged in.
Great review. They look and sound nice. I hope Martin improved the HPL body material against separating and cracking.

I have a DX1RAE that was made in 2014. Still sounds good.

yes it's hpl, high pressure laminate, or, plastic

I have the old x series and I don’t recommend it. The new one is basically the same except it costs 50 dollars more.
