another great video! I love the glowing eyes, especially that they glow while having intense emotions. and I also really like the idea of having those growing/changing tatoos. maybe it would be an option, that those tattoos look at a young age more like birthmarks, where only the senshis can differentiate them from normal birthmarks. they start to change more intensly at some point of the development like at the end of puberty. also I personally love the idea of the tatoos showing, who the people are close to. and if they are growing/ ever changing tatoos, the tattoos could change into more similar tattoos or develop certain signs that stand for the clostest people to that person. you could even have Tattoo interpreters that work similar to dream interpreters :D

for books where there is a magical society in the real world, you could try the Akata Witch series. It's set in Nigeria and in the book (not going to spoil too much) magic is a global practice kept secret from normal people. I feel like it's a good example of a story that can still cover real world issues while having fantasy elements. Also it's just a really good series.

Sorry to say this, but I think reading some X-Men comics are your best bet. Espeacially, the ones where the debate between Magneto and Xavier's idea'ls are at the fore-front. "God Loves, Man Kills" and "Mutant Genesis" are good ones. It's not a one to one comparison, but I believe they have the themes you're looking for. Hey, look up the show X-Men: Evolution. The first few seasons took place before society at large knew mutants existed, so it's mostly about these kids picking sides and preparing for a future war, either against humans, each other, or both.
Ah yes world-building. The bane of my existence when trying to figure out my stories. Ik a lot of comics with really cool world-building, and I cant wait to see how your comics world play out!
