      Minimal tools, simple concept, but open a beer before you start wrestling that out of there

    Thank you for the great videos and tips, but you did not show how to take out and put back in the filter cover :(

    Hello I changed the filter with a KN like you, but impossible to remove the air intake at the bottom! I simply moved it aside to put the new filter and it went well, I'm from France so don't worry about the translation it's Google

      There is definitely more than one way to complete this job. Without removing the intake I was worried about damaging the air filter foam and ruining the seal.

    What a pain in the butt just for a filter. Not looking forward to that. Great video and helpful.

      Frustrating but not difficult, if that makes sense. Previous generation Multis required you to remove the entire gas tank to get to the air filter

    Did you notice any changes to the sound with the new air filter? I'm doing the Akra exhaust in a couple of weeks and am wondering if I should throw one in for throatier sound and more induction noise. I'm not expecting any performance increases, just doing it to save on future paper filters but mostly for sound.

      That's tough to answer. The Akra exhaust really drowns most of it out. I want to say I feel like there is a little more induction noise, but that may just be in my head.

    Fell any difference?

      @4KMotoring  10 днів тому

      I'm probably making it up, but it feels like the throttle is more responsive. In all honesty, it's probably just the clean filter more than the K&N making the difference

    how "little" was the "prybar"? lol

    • @4KMotoring
      @4KMotoring  28 днів тому

      🤣🤣 it actually wasn't very large. It doesn't take a ton of force, rather requiring a little bit of convincing in just the right areas

      @@4KMotoring 😅, but seriously, i can't wait to get the v4 rally, if all you have to do (for 60,000kms) is oil changes and the air filter is only 4 easy access screws, i think the 1260 is about 42 bolts to get to the air filter, from last count. i want the brushed alloy tank with black panniers and a silver top box, qd exhaust, and the red wunderlisch crash bars, and don't get me started on the apparel, the spidi black rider c2 jacket looks nice for starters
