Really enjoyed the extended analysis Artosis. I like the setting in which you do it too - play the full replay, react, and then come back to the full analysis.
The eeriness of Protoss music playing the background while Arty breaks down the collision of the best of the best for 10 min - man, the small joys of life.
My favorite bit is how back in 1998, the previews for Starcraft showed, "wow you can fly your buildings during an attack!" but that quickly faded away, everyone realized it's not that useful. Twenty six years later, Flash is saying, "hold on, maybe they were onto something all along..."
I've probably watched over 100 Artosis casts by this point between this channel and ASL, and I think this is the best one yet. This level of detail is the most interesting part of the game in my opinion. Keep it up.
Just gotten into watching Brood War lately and I've been binge watching these matches with Flash, last couple of days 🤯 appreciate your content Artosis!
I'd say have your chills and do your analysis, that makes this channel unique and I thoroughly enjoy it man! Besides, anyone one in the higher levels can learn from the analysis. Looking forward to tommorws episode, thanks!
What a great game. Been working a lot the last 2 weeks. Time to catch up... told my wife last night im going to the basement to watch (on the 55") some Koreans play a 25 year old video game for a few hours.
Flash v Rain Episode 2: The Chills Strike Back It's so funny how no-nonsense these two are playing each other. As soon as the game hits a situation they know is virtually unwinnable, just instant GG.
My favorite part about these videos is just how Artosis loves watching Flash evolve his builds and he says things like, "I'm getting goosebumps". It's awesome and so funny too.
Artosis have you noticed that with the building float and the timing of his push pre-charge, Flash uses his vulture runby to force the protoss to give up map control? pre-charge he replaces his vultures soaking goon damage with the buildings so he doesn't need to keep them near his tank line for screening, and with his vultures freed up he's able to pressure the protoss and force them to pull back goons. Without a goon line to bait seige tank shots, the reaver shuttle is alot less effective in sandbagging the terran push which lets him cross the map rapidly. To me it looks like flash is looking for an opening around the 29~ min mark to start running vultures through to threaten the protoss's zealot build up and possible econ harass forcing the protoss to pull back alot faster than they would otherwise
To add to this I think this is also why he is able to skimp on goliath buildup, because without anything to distract, shuttle reaver can be handled by unseiged tanks
@@novitrix9671 specifically at 29:33 and after he is sending 1 vulture at a time. to me it looks like after he realizes the protoss army is not in the way he uses the opening to rush more vultures straight to the protoss base to begin setting up mines and force rain to make a decision if he should return to base and deal with it or leave his goons to delay the tank push
You want to have them floating to delay the dragoons, if zealots get on top of them then the whole protoss army will just kill them really quick. Of course you can build walls with depots and engi bays or barracks, thats a possible strategy if you are playing a big macro game.
In depth analysis is what makes Artosis different from other casters, keep it up! Favorite video since flash went two fact speed vulture starport, the explanation makes all the difference!
That sounds like it would make a good movie. The two geniuses having to become friends because talking with the plebians is too exhausting for them. "They just can't get it! Flying barracks!" - "I wish warp gates could fly..." THIS SUMMER YOU WILL BELIEVE IN A WORLD WHERE WARP GATES CAN FLY!
I understand where you're coming from with Rain but you just simply cannot say he'd be better the Bisu at Broodwar considering that 1) Accolades matter 2)Bisu made the Protoss race into what it is today and Rain simply built on that plus he's younger etc.. Put simply: No Bisu = No Rain
I don’t even play sc anymore but I love these arty casts and watching this genius flash guy. It pleases me to see Terran take back control esp bc arty is a Terran player.
BTW, I don't disagree that bad players can occasionally catch good players with bad builds because they aren't prepared. But I should point out that if the builds _really do work_ sometimes, they aren't necessarily all bad. Like, maybe for a mechanically skilled player, a "shitty DT rush" is never the right build, because with the information you have, there is always a higher-percentage option. But for a mechanically bad player, that might realistically be their _only_ way to win. So it could be the best option. So for someone who isn't very good, it's actually a the best build, maybe elevating their probability of winning from 0.01% with a normal build to 1% with this build or something. So it's not like these noobs are making a mistake and being rewarded. They're doing the best they can.
Coming home and watching starcraft while eating dinner, perfect ending of a working day. Thanks for the cast, artosis! Edit: I really appreciated your post game analysis!
I get so excited to see a long game, but then of course realize that its actually two small games + commentary. -_- I enjoy the commentary but wish we could have more longer games
It's not like people have to sit through the analysis if we don't want to since it's at the very end AFTER the game. I for one like it! Plus I'm sure you have the UA-cam analyzer tools to see if ppl watch that part of the video.
I think a scv needs to be attatched to the buildimg taking major dmg to keep it topped on hp and provide a target to interfere with the reaver, protoss would have to manually target with the reaver, many just estimate the range and focuss their micro entirely on the shuttle
17:27 that shuttle micro was baller, soaking the siege shots. I'm curious over these two games what the turn rate was, there's weird lag in the micro on both sides. One of those, "box a unit, move; takes a second to move" situations all over the place. Those zealot drops before scarabs were nice though
1. Flash cast = ✅️
2. Double match cast = ✅️
3. Chills = ✅️
4. Extended post game analysis = ✅️
5. Cancels apology acknowledging viewer appreciation = ✅️
Best cast all time?!?!
Artosis is the #1 Starcraft caster. Unmatched passion, unmatched knowledge, unmatched salt. Edit: That last one is just a joke don't ban me LOL
When geniuses collide, we all get CHILLS.
Sure are ❄️😂❄️

''CHILTOSSIS''
Love the in-depth analysis at the end! No need to apologize. We are here for a reason.
I love the deep-dive analysis at the end. Anyone who doesn't like it can just skip that part, so there's no downside.
Really enjoyed the extended analysis Artosis. I like the setting in which you do it too - play the full replay, react, and then come back to the full analysis.
Agreed! Also makes it harder to know when the game enda
The eeriness of Protoss music playing the background while Arty breaks down the collision of the best of the best for 10 min - man, the small joys of life.
100 percent feel the same way
Please continue to do the analysis at the end! It's really nice to understand things on a deeper level. A lot of nuance that I was unaware of.
My favorite bit is how back in 1998, the previews for Starcraft showed, "wow you can fly your buildings during an attack!" but that quickly faded away, everyone realized it's not that useful. Twenty six years later, Flash is saying, "hold on, maybe they were onto something all along..."
It's like twilight zone or something.
Pause before watching, gonna need to turn on the heat and grab a blanket, there is gonna be CHILLS.
😂😂😂😂😂💀💀
😂😂😂😂😂
I ran into Rain on the Starcraft 2 ladder one time when I first started playing multiplayer. The game was over so fast it was hilarious, but an honor!
0:59 that's about 16km for our international friends.
It was all perfect until freedom units appeared
@@pierQRzt180imperial is a trash system, that's why America and Canada are the only ones that use it
Flash, rain and chills everywhere… definitely winter is coming.
I've probably watched over 100 Artosis casts by this point between this channel and ASL, and I think this is the best one yet. This level of detail is the most interesting part of the game in my opinion. Keep it up.
18:00 and we have a CHIIIIIILLLLLLLLS ALERT

Ahh a swig of vodka and artosis casts in the morning. Both keep the shakes at bay.
oof
🍻
What a great game. Been working a lot the last 2 weeks. Time to catch up... told my wife last night im going to the basement to watch (on the 55") some Koreans play a 25 year old video game for a few hours.
After watching artosis casts it makes all the other starcraft commentators look like amateurs.
More than 30 min artosis cast? Actually getting chills here!... 😂❤
Flash v Rain Episode 2: The Chills Strike Back
It's so funny how no-nonsense these two are playing each other. As soon as the game hits a situation they know is virtually unwinnable, just instant GG.
Now we're all waiting for that Snow Flash series.
Great video, thank you for casting and breaking it down at the end!
more of these in-depth reviews, please. theyre so good.
Artosis saying "zellut" instead of "zee-lott" after 20 years makes me so fucking happy
The post game analysis was INCREDIBLE. Absolutely spectacular.
My favorite part about these videos is just how Artosis loves watching Flash evolve his builds and he says things like, "I'm getting goosebumps". It's awesome and so funny too.

I'm getting chills from this superlative commentary.
flying buildings as a 4th Mech unit.
Artosis.
seeing it slowly being improved. this is a treat.
I knew I felt a chill in the air...
An idea: soo... of we have two floating buildings. Maybe we could land one or even two and mess with fast zealots?
If the terrain allows it. Because many maps have unbuildable terrain in those chockpoints to prevent Terrans from fortifying them too hard.
@@johnkalyvas4838 and zealots are most of the time easier to kill than the goons ^^

love the analysis, thank you for the in depth view
here for my morning CHILLS dose
Amazing vid, superb analysis! Taking the time to thouroughly break down the patterns. Love it!
Chills achieved! Definitely loved the in-depth analysis at the end of the video.
The analysis was really informative and would be greatly apprecaited as a recurring part of the (Flash) games you cast
Rain: I see your nexus bust and raise you pain to the face!
Why is he floating two buildings ominously over his enemies as he pushes?
It could give someone CHILLS.
18:09
User: At what speed should I move the units during the push?
Flash: building speed.
User: what?
The sacrifice of those vultures was, *muak*, cheff kiss.
Get the heated blankets, these games are certified to give you CHILLS
As someone who doesn't even play SC, this is what I'm here for. The analysis is the best part.
i've been seeing artosis so much I can predict the chills XD
I want more of this , long videos , yep, and also love all those analyses ; yep, all the good stuff in the world
I'm getting chills just from the analysis.
Flash had enough of protoss taking the map freely and decided to say fuck that, here i come with floating buildings
I don’t even play sc anymore but I love these arty casts and watching this genius flash guy. It pleases me to see Terran take back control esp bc arty is a Terran player.

Flash + rain = flash flood of CHILLS?
Love deep analysis keep doing it ! I'm new and I saw pattern right away from few days of channal. Love this stuff
I love this idea of SC and SC2 becoming something like a classical game like chess or go. Timeless games that we can all enjoy for many years.
when other youtubers cast flash and they say that he is the best ever, i did not see why but watching all these arty casts, now i get chills as well
From reading the other comments it seems we all agree: we love the post-game analysis!
Love the post-game analysis, great stuff
Flash has been clockwork with these 2 Floating Building 10-minute timing attacks.
The analysis was the best part of the video
Gotta add though, I do appreciate the technical dives too!
chilling moment in history, a clash between two giants.
yes. i love these long analyses. keep it going.
Good long interesting analyzing. Thank you for your job!
Oh man I got chills, flash before our eyes is reinventing the wheel damn
They need a top zerg to change his name to thunder, or something similar, and they'll have a whole thunderstorm name trio ⛈️
Coming home and watching starcraft while eating dinner, perfect ending of a working day. Thanks for the cast, artosis!
Edit: I really appreciated your post game analysis!
I love the deep analysis! That’s why we’re here.
When Terran wins Artosis chills ensues.
Great commentary as always!
Can't wait for the opportunity to say that someone is my extremely, extremely good friend...
Love the analysis ❤
i like this analysis no need for excuses
Someone please knit Artosis a Christmas sweater
"I'm actually getting some chills right now", man, Artosis soo such a drama queen. No wonder Artosis got "sis" in itself.
i got crazy chills
I get so excited to see a long game, but then of course realize that its actually two small games + commentary. -_-
I enjoy the commentary but wish we could have more longer games
what a flex it is for a caster to be able to say that he's played with the greats he's casting.
Apologize for not doing more long-form post-game analyses. We need MOAR
The breakdown is epic
It's not like people have to sit through the analysis if we don't want to since it's at the very end AFTER the game. I for one like it! Plus I'm sure you have the UA-cam analyzer tools to see if ppl watch that part of the video.
Artosis has so much respect for Flash
Glad to see Rain playing, he's my favourite protoss player but he's not always active 😢
Artosis chills counter.
He clicked the screaming bird.
That rushed push for position was good stuff
My chills are getting chills
I think a scv needs to be attatched to the buildimg taking major dmg to keep it topped on hp and provide a target to interfere with the reaver, protoss would have to manually target with the reaver, many just estimate the range and focuss their micro entirely on the shuttle
Im the future Artosis will just upload an hour long video of analysis every day without including the game
Analysis are the best!

If Flash is God of broodwar, RT is his Prophet.
Please do more commentaries like that analysis at the end today
Chills for sure..
