It's nice to see a more unique offering from a different manufacturer. It definitely looks like the fit and finish is good and auw is impressive on a model of that size! Flight demos were outstanding as always my friend. Definitely looks like a solid performer.
I'm impressed with the Kavan powered glider I purchased. Good quality and flying. That Porter looks nice and appears to fly great. Another fun and capable bush plane.
Great review Adam. So thorough & informative. Shame they are not available in this country. You handled the aircraft so well as usual. Both you & Heidi have a wonderful Christmas
Jackie and Anthony have been great keeping me up to date on my pr-order of my KAVAN Norden. It is suppose to be delivered today, cant wait!!! Pairing it with a FrSky Tandem stabilized receiver and FrSky X20s. Next Friday if all goes well it will be its maiden. Thanks for the video.
Great presentation of a superb looking model. Your integrity in pointing out the very few minor issues is paramount. Just noticed you are now nudging 17K subs. Gratz. Onward and upward in 2025! (poor pun intended). Happy Christmas Adam!
Great review of the Pilatus, it's nice to see something a bit different on the market, and it sure flies great in your hands!! Great Bush plane Adam 😀👍
probably nicer than Porter, but personally prefer simpler planes - like PC6, without slots. But the difference in price is so minimal in the U.S. between Norden and Porter that Norden seems a better buy.
Great video, you mentioned the noise when you throttle up. Wonder if the prop is windmilling so when you throttling up its like going from reverse thrust to foward thrust, hope i explained that right, just my 2 cents.
@marchindy Thanks! Actually, they windmill in the same direction as they are spun. I'm pretty sure a change in the ESC timing will fix it. That's on my list of things to do, LOL busy time of year
I noticed that, of course, less weight on the wings is better, but wide wings have a tendency to drop suddenly, while slim wings, as in the case of the PC6, have a tendency to fall steadily when the throttle is released. You can then land more sinking - and to me this method seems easier, is this the case with Porter?
Actually ARF means almost ready to fly here as well. When the term was coined in the early 90's a finished airframe was almost ready to fly when compared to a box of balsa and a set of plans.
Thank you for the kind words!!! It was great working with you and having you on The RC Air Experience Podcast !!!!! Great job on this video !
Thanks man, appreciate that! It is our pleasure!
Nice job showing us this very capable bush plane. It looks like it will hold up well once you make sure the struts, etc. are secure.
It's a great plane for sure, and it's pretty tough. Thanks man!

It is! More choices is always a good thing. I'm looking forward to the Norden, the flap/slat system on it looks like fun to play with. Thanks brother!
@@ModelAV8RChannelCool. Flaps and Slats. Got my attention. Love to see that review. 👍
Nobody goes a better review Thanks Adam
Thanks Skip!
Ooooo Ahhhhh. Love seeing new offerings - bush plane to boot. Excellent review and flights my friend. 👍👍😉
Thanks Brad!

Yep, excited for the Norden! The Porter is a great one, slows down very well.
Great bush plane, even the stall looked like a glider. Great review Adam, and of course a pro flight. 🫡

Thanks Noel! Y'all have a Merry Christmas as well my friend!
I'm sensing a new bush flying video in '25. With a new plane or two featured 👍
You know it Al! The next bush flying video is in the works.
@ModelAV8RChannel
YES!!! 👍

They are great, very customer service minded. Enjoy the Norden, mine should be here today as well!
@@ModelAV8RChannel I am interested in seeing how you mount the receiver in the Norden.
I've liked all the Kavan models I've seen videos for. Its good to see someone in the US is selling them now.
Yep, seems like a great new addition to what we have available.
Adam great flying and review. It's always nice to have more RC Plane choices. Heidi great video, Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff! Yep, looks like another great company to choose from.

Thanks Ian, I agree my friend!
I just got a norden on the way this week. Im stoked

Sweet! That one looks awesome!
A cool review, Adam. Maybe, the Pilatus was one of those turbo prop aircraft that inspired HH's Matt Andren to dream up the Turbo Timber?
Thanks Gina! Yes ma'am it probably was one of the planes he was thinking of.
Adam you know I like scale looking planes and the price is not bad it is on my bucket list Have a Merry Christmas to you and Heidi 🎄🏔🌨❄☃⛄🏂🎅😊
Ha ha! I know Frank! Y'all have a Merry Christmas my friend!
Such a cool plane wish I could get it in Australia I haven't been able to find it
Yeah man I don't think there is a distributor there yet. Hopefully someone will import them there soon.

What size wheels are on it? I could see the E-flite inflatable wheels (Super Timber wheels) being an awesome upgrade for this!
I think 3 in, maybe 3 1/4. Yep the ST tires might work as well as the Norden tires.
Is this the same model sold through Tower Hobbies years ago under the MultiPlex brand?
It is not, completely different, new mold from Kavan. This is 1.5m, the old Multiplex was a 1.2m.

That is sometimes the case for sure. Span, airfoil, incidence in relation to the horizontal, and balance also are factors in the severity of a stall.
ARF - Airframe (conventional) or almost ready to fly (In the Czech Republic) and so PNP ;)
Actually ARF means almost ready to fly here as well. When the term was coined in the early 90's a finished airframe was almost ready to fly when compared to a box of balsa and a set of plans.
