JOSEPH GARA performs the song "Anak" live @ 2nd Pacific Rim Ukulele Festival (第二屆環太平洋烏克音樂節) in Kaohsiung (Taiwan) on April 07, 2018.
JOSEPH GARA is a singer/songwriter from Tagbilaran City in the Philippines.
The song "Anak" (Filipino for 'child', or more accurately 'my son' or 'my daughter') is a Tagalog song written by Filipino folk-singer FREDDIE AGUILAR. It was a finalist for the inaugural 1977 Metropop Song Festival held in Manila. It became an international hit, and was translated into 26 languages.
"Anak" is a song of remorse and apology to Freddie's parents.
The 1st PACIFIC RIM UKULELE FESTIVAL (環太平洋烏克音樂節) was hosted in Kaohsiung (Taiwan) in April 2016 to great success. The 2nd PACIFIC RIM UKULELE FESTIVAL was again held in this southern Taiwan port city and was expanded to two days to accommodate the increased number of international and local ukulele players and bands. Participants in 2018 came from Taiwan, other Asian countries and Europe.
The festival is also known as PRUkeFest or PRUF for short.
    Vocals/Ukulele/Loops: Joseph Gara
