What an end of an era…if the 777X ever gets certified, we’ll see if it lives up to it’s predecessors. Goodbye 777-300ER, we’ll see you in the skies long after the end of production and in freighter form! :-)
With all the bad Things that are going on at Boeing the 777-300er is still my Favorit plane. I think its elegant and with those glorious GE90 very cool aswell. Flown on it 3 times, allways booked the seat at the front of the wing for sound and good view on the GE90
Boeing was really counting on starting deliveries for the 777-9 in 2025. Plenty of reports have indicated that 777-300ER production has ended some time ago and existing unfulfilled orders were either converted to the 777-9 or 787-9/10. Boeing management really messed up big time and all their cost cutting and profit favoring has finally caught up to them where they literally have nothing to compete with the upcoming introduction of HGW Airbus A350-1000 coming later this year. The 777 had a lot of selling points for airlines that were unrivaled at the time of introduction. 10-across economy was only ever seen on Trijets and Quadjets, 777-300 variants rivalling the 747 in terms of range and capacity. But now, there's more competition than ever and I feel like airlines are still a bit hesitant to commit to the 777-9 as they don't know what the operating economics of the 777-9 would be compared to an A350-1000 which can also perform the same missions as the former especially with the new HGW variants that can fit 10-across economy. Ultimately, the 777-9 is in the same position as the MD-11 was back in the 90s, only this time, the rivals are more efficient composite aircraft with the same payload and range but better fuel burn and it's a matter of proving how competitive the 777-9 is to the newbreeds in pure efficiency.
I've been on many second generation 777's, the 777-200LR (Delta) and the 777-300ER (Virgin Australia). Of course, those two airlines don't fly them anymore
One of the all time greatest aircraft!! The 777 effectively killed the quad jet and the 300ER put the last nails in the coffin. I’ve been lucky to fly on many of them. TAM from LHR to São Paulo will always standout. Never been through a worse storm on any flight. Not sure I’d feel quite so safe on a Dreamliner
Really sad to hear this. 777 was a great aircraft. Though, with the A350, many airlines are turning towards it. I think it's like MD, Boeing would eventually come to an end.
The -300ER was so ahead of its time. Still dominates in many airlines’ wide body fleets
Metal wing 777 is known as the “legacy” 777 in-house. -9’s are called “-9’s or X’s”
The 777-300ER has an elegance i cant describe.... ive had nothing but the best experience on my flights with it!
oh man the 777 was like the one decent modern boeing
(757 and 747 aren't exactly modern even tho they are both good)

Indeed end of an era, such an iconic jet. Though we will see them for many more years to come, as passenger jets and cargo.
Passenger 777 (200LR / 300ER) production ended three years ago in March 2022, when the final three were delivered to Thai and Aeroflot.
The 777-300ER was simply the best widebody airliner ever made.
RIP 777 non-X 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️

For sure the end of an older 777 era, but nowhere near the end of the 777 in the skies above!
The fact that some 77ws are already being retired is mind blowing
Perhaps Boeing should have stuck with existing version's rather than trying a fancy update.
The 747 and A340-600 exterminator. 777-9 has to work hard for that legacy. WHEN it entera service some day.
What a majestic airplane. 777 is the pinnacle of airplane as a whole that not many can match it.
how they're distinguished: 777X and Legacy 777
777X has a folded wingtip and a bigger engine while the legacy 777 has regular racked wings, and still a bigger engine, but not bigger than the X
This plane needed a composite made fuselage, not bigger wings.
A costly mistake Boeing made.
boeing fell behind in creativity by not being able to name his old planes.
The proportions are ON POINT with this jet, it looks how it should :)
No
What an amazing plane…I’ve had the good fortune of being able to ride it 6 times on Korean Air Seoul to Auckland flights…great plane! :-)
Nooooo this was like the best plane
I think this is a terrible decision of Boeing especially with all the 777x delays
Yep, the 777X is never going to come. The 777 era is gone for good, unfortunately.
Sad... B777 (old) alr ending :
Good riddance. 777 is the least comfortable plane to travel on long-haul - A380 over this any day
B777 is the Boss
First
no one cares
no one cares. only babys do this
All i can saw is one sentence 😊: what a great plane

I AM NOT GOING 😡
we left that behind in 2024
