Gorgeous meeting to celebrate the legendary V6 engine designed by Ing. De Virgilio and which has equipped the wonderful Lancia Aurelia and Flaminia. Present all the variations, the Aurelia B10, B20 and B24 and Flaminia both sedan and coupè. Special guests two wonderful cars, an amazing Ministerial Lancia Astura (1939) and the prototype Marica designed by Tom Tjaarda, based on the Flaminia mechanical and presented for the first time at the Turin autoshow in 1969. The car is currently owned by the famous collector Corrado Lopresto.
Splendido raduno per celebrare il mitico motore V6 progettato dall'ing. De Virgilio e che ha equipaggiato le meravigliose Lancia Aurelia e Flaminia. Presenti tutte le varianti, le Aurelia B10, B20 e B24 e le Flaminia sia berlina che coupè. Da segnalare 2 splendide sorprese, una maestosa Lancia Astura Ministeriale del 1939 ed il prototipo Marica disegnato da Tom Tjaarda, all'epoca in Ghia e che fu presentato, su base meccanica Flaminia al salone di Torino nel 1969. L'auto attualmente è di proprietà del famoso collezionista Corrado Lopresto ed è tornata in Italia.

Back then my dream car was the FLAMINA Zagato,
My dad was and still is a Lancia connoisseur and enthusiast and I remember one year we all went to Italy on a family holiday to celebrate some 50 year event of Vincenzo Lancia. We went in a Flaminia saloon as seen at 3.01, 7 of us in all, ours was identical in blue and in a previous life had belonged to the the Dean of Naples, ours friend nicknamed it the mafia mobile. On route to Florence we got lost, it was in the days when people nearly murdered each other over the map reading so I recall leaning out the window on one particularly busy roundabout and shouting Florence, Florence, which way which way, nobody seemed to know what I was shouting about until some bright spark twigged and shouted back ahhh Firenzee, Firenzee, and kindly waved on in the correct direction. On another occasion I drove a Fulvia saloon down to the south of France, then on to Marbella and back via Madrid, that car was a legend as is Vincenzo Lancia and many of his cars. Love Italy, love the Italians, so much flair and style. Great video by the way and thanks for posting.

My grandfather had an Aurelia. They are well out of my price range now. I've had Betas and Deltas and Themas and a Fulvia coupe. But I'd love any of the cars on show here.
