This intriguing video serves as a poignant reminder of the heartache I've been enduring since my 7 year relationship came to an end 3 months ago. My cherished partner, the love of my life, made the difficult decision to part ways, leaving me consumed by thoughts of him. Despite my earnest attempts to win him back, I find myself facing frustration and an overwhelming sense of emptiness, unable to envision a life without his presence. Despite my efforts to move on, I'm compelled to confess my lingering feelings and longing for him here.
The process of releasing a loved one can be an uphill battle. I can relate, having navigated a similar journey when my 4 year relationship dissolved. Despite the heartache, I refused to relinquish hope and embarked on a quest to win her back. Turning to a spiritual counselor for assistance, I found guidance that ultimately led to our reconciliation.
I absolutelly nailed those 7 questions at the start 1. yes 2. yes 3. yes 4. yes 5. yes 6. yes 7. yes Oh yeah, 7 out of 7, perfect score... oh, wait a minute!

I am a healthcare provider and I really find your videos extremely helpful! You really have a distinguish talent in providing information yet simple and easy to grasp! Keep the good work!
I just want to thank you for your channel and content that I found 3-4 years ago when I was grieving the death of 17 y/o nephew and my dad who passed a month later after him. So thank you.
What a powerful exploration of the subtle ways anxiety builds up! The section on avoidance made me think about the ostrich effect, where people avoid information that might cause discomfort, like avoiding bills or stressful conversations. Someone I know used to avoid opening their email because they didn’t want to face bad news. But as you said, avoidance only fuels anxiety in the long run. Your suggestion to face these issues head-on with practical strategies is such valuable advice. Thank you for showing how we can take small steps to overcome this
Im so glad at how much your channel has grown! When I was struggling mentally during 2020 I found your channel during that time. I felt like I was really losing it. Your videos really helped me so much. I would recommend your channel and videos whenever I could, even ti strangers online. God bless you and thank you for the time and effort you put into your videos, THANK YOU!!
while watching this i started to realize that while in the past i mightve said yes to about 95% of these, i currently can only confidently say yes to about half (with some 'yes's becoming 'maybe's and 'sometimes')! i've been putting a lot of work into unpacking my anxieties and im starting to really see how much progress ive made, thank you for laying this out so clearly!
I am yes to literally every question in every category. Probably because I have autism, OCD and also some undiagnosed trauma, but I am almost constantly worrying, overthinking, being paranoid, feeling unsafe, feeling overwhelmed, feeling stressed. The hard truth most of society doesn’t want to face is that mainstream society is, by and large, unintentionally but still seriously damaging for many neurodivergent people, and that has to change if the severe anxiety many neurodivergent people feel is to ever be reduced. If you almost never get your real needs and wants met and feel like you’re fighting every day to be understood, you do end up feeling this way. But it’s not hopeless, because some sensitive and kinder people across society are becoming more aware of this as time goes on. So, it can improve, but that requires everyone makes an effort. I know this wasn’t the main point of the video, but I did feel it would be helpful to say that, if anyone else, whether neurodivergent or not, answered yes to almost or all of the questions Emma asked in this video, I’m right there with you. For the record, I did find the video helpful because it was validating.
@ I understand completely, but that’s all the more reason not to give up! Everyone like us who feels separated from the mainstream and the system has just as much of a right to be happy and do well in their lives. You just have to believe in yourself and take action based on your unique experiences and skills. There are good people out there who care and want to help as well - but for many of us it’s a near constant struggle. Ironically, and unfortunately, I’ve found at least a few other people who claim to also be neurodivergent who I didn’t find helpful to be around at all, because they were really either narcissistic or just didn’t realise how much damage their behaviours caused. Plenty of neurotypical people have also caused issues. But there are also lots of both other neurodivergent people, and neurotypical people, whom I find great to be around. So it is possible to get what you need. Don’t give up - keep going until you find it ❤️
Yes to most questions aside catastrophizing. That used to sit at the forefront when I was dealing with bouts of depression but it has gotten much, much better with time and practice.
Emma, love your channel. I LOVE that you give some theory and "textbook knowledge" because my experience with 1:1 therapy is that the therapist doesn't explain this much or at all! So it is much harder for me to find the patterns between different things or see the bigger picture. I used your videos a lot alongside my 1:1 therapy and they have helped me enormously between sessions, but also to screen through my issues and put words onto them, which in turn has helped my therapist a lot to give me the guidance. I am still healing and I've got some way to go, but if you read this, thank you so much. Now i feel more connected to my body and myself that i ever have. PS: i think a video on chronic sensory disregulation would be cool, i do ASITT "therapy" for this and it's the best thing ever it helps so much long term
Thanks, Emma! Yes, I always understand the disclaimer, and appreciate your effort in trying to help with mental health issues that EVERYONE in the world experiences at one time and magnitude. Part of the problems affecting the country, I suspect, are mental health related. If we can get control of our minds, we can take control of our own lives, not worry or compare to others, or be covetous of their possessions. Thank you for posting these. I have looked through the various videos available and bookmarked a few particularly relevant topics, and feel confident that if I have some sort of unpleasant experience mentally, I can come here to get some techniques to modify ant problematic behavior. Its great to not only have this information, but also presented by someone empathetic and upbeat with a positive attitude of "It can be done!"
I was literally thinking about this because I've been feeling anxious for seemingly no reason for the past two days. I thought it might be the anxiety meds I just started, but it's obviously more than that. It's much more cognitive for me than I felt before. Literally 7 for 7 😅
What is the anxiety med? If it is an SSRI, then it totally is the medication making you more anxious. SSRIs make you way more anxious at first before it gets better. They are terrible that way.
@k.pacificnw02134 yeah, I think it is, it's called duloxetine. Thank you for the info, that makes me feel a bit better about it 😊 I'll stick it out for a but longer and see if it gets better
I am just 20 years old. I feel so overwhelmed about every task. Even if I have to start a new project work or just organize things( I feel so sad and terrified about everyday tasks) . Now I also need to get a job but I am unable to concentrate on anything also I am so afraid of even getting a job. Hoping i can just be peacefull one day🙂
Great list but I didn't see "the sense of utter betrayal and crushing realization that your government and all the major institutions are not working for you but against you after a lifetime of believing you lived in the greatest country in the world." I suppose it could in the Catastrophising bucket but I think it deserves a category all of its own.
Yes, when the Democrat party says that men can be women and they can have babies. It makes the entire society anxious. Because we know that men can never be women and we know that men can never have babies. But with the Democratic Party and the federal government, insisting that men can be women and paying for transgender surgeries, the Democrats are gaslighting the nation and the children. Sometimes I’ll be going somewhere or arrive somewhere and suddenly feel anxious without cause. I’m hopeful that if it happens again I can use these skills to explore my anxiety and eliminate it.

Super helpful and thank you for the download- would strongly suggest doubling the length, or more, of the time on this video: it is way too rapid fire feels like you're getting peppered with all these in-depth points- could cause anxiety!
I worry during the day but when I get in bed I don’t let myself dwell on any problems or worries. I’ve taught yoga, meditation and energy work for a long time! If something is panic mode I write it in my phone and text it to myself saying, I can pick this up tomorrow but for now I can’t do anything g about it but to get a good night rest so I’ll be refreshed in the morning. I listen to gentle music or a meditation 🧘♀️ n my phone as I transition into rest, repair and recovery mode! Whatever is urgent can’t be fixed right now. Tomorrow is a new day and I’ll be able to sleep tonight. 😴 💤
First time watching, thanks Emma you’ve hit a couple area’s I should be able to fix…may have to watch your other videos on how to fix them!! I stopped drinking and watching tv 4 months ago and motivation has gone through the roof, from not getting much done to getting heaps done, especially DIY projects, if feel useful to myself again, I can see the old me coming back.
I'm a little cloudy about the issue of doing mindfulness or other stuff to cope with anxiety...and when it is not beneficial to do it, i.e. to distract from anxiety. I mean, I want to escape from anxiety; those feelings feel so taxing.
Thank you, this was super helpful to help me identify areas to focus on that are causing me anxiety and having some links to help address those areas also great! It was interesting to find some areas totally not an issue but others I clearly need to work on.
This Is incredibly helpful ! Im doing a little better with my anxiety i am working on it and your videos have helped alot. Because this video is so detailed and each small habit has like 6descriptions it was easier to identify which i specifically need to work on more =)
Jeezus! I said yes to more than 4 in all of the categories. How do you get rid of all these negative behaviors when you are overwhelmed by all of them on a daily basis? Life is a living hell , meds don't help. I live in Japan where mental health is taboo and actual help is a myth, the best you can get is a psychiatrist / pill pusher.
Writing what I'm learning, because my brain is a mush and that's the way I can focus, so here goes: I Worry, worry is a habit, we bring to mind thoughts of danger and I do have a general anxiety disorder. I also struggle to eat healthy and don't get 30 min. of activity a day. Have to work on good nutrition. I'm not too overwhelmed because thankfully I've been able to lower my hours at work🙌 AVOIDANCE - I avoid dating, I'm too scared:( It's freaking trauma as well.
I definitely worry. And I have stress. And I have some overwhelm. Definitely not avoidance. I do have CPTSD. No to #6. No to #7. Well, I DO know why I'm anxious, but still interesting to watch video anyway.
Well, that video was something i have certainly 2 or 3 categories, and i daud to alot alot alot of yes. Every day i try to overcome them and to better myself for the next time it may come again. Focusing on self love (thats also means to love and care for people or make some one laugh trust me it works wonders), and self healing. Taking care of my spirtually, mental and physical health can better equip you to take on the stress and anxiety. Thanks for the video. 😊 Now i will get to work to fix these issuses.
Now that I think about it, reading and sleeping might be my signs of avoidance- which I’ve also seen be described as escapism. I subconsciously think that if I’m not actively in my own reality I can finally be at peace.
I get anxious about what’s wrong with me all the time. Do I have ADHD? Do I have anxiety? Was I just born more stupid than others and have to deal with it ? It’s everything, everywhere, all at once.
My anxiety stemmed first from health issues, which snowballed into cognitive issues and caused MORE health issues 😬 I have been practicing meditation and mindfulness a lot to be able to better recognize when anxiety symptoms arise, that they may be linked to another physical sensation (say, a sinus headache or nausea) and that has really been helping me let the anxiety go. I might still feel sick because that's real, but the anxiety kind of isn't real if that makes sense? By seeing it for what it is, I can go back to doing something else a little more easily each time (even if that's just trying to rest a bit more comfortably, like this past week and a half of a sinus infection yay)
As someone who suffers with extreme severe anxiety I can totally relate to her. I would stop eating for days at a time as a punishment. I worry a lot about my life, everyone around me and pleasing everyone. It's absolutely crippling, so glad she got the help she needed, lovely young lady it's so sad that society has 1 in 3 people suffering mental health issues. I hope everyone seeks help
Can you help with the reliable source I would really appreciate it. Many people talk about how mushrooms and psychedelics treats anxiety, but nobody talks about where to get them. Very hard to get a reliable source here in Australia. Really need!
Yes, doctor Greg mushroom I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.
You always say things that get the point across when nothing else ever has 😂 saying that anxiety started by developing small habits, and can be fixed that way, was really a 🤯 moment ha…. These videos are gold ❤

Yes. I have put down my habit tracker and food tracker on a editable pdf and an excel worksheet.
I feel you, for me it was more than 4 "yes" in 6/7 of the categories. I think I'll have to go through them again and pick one to work on first
Writing what I'm learning, because my brain is a mush and that's the way I can focus, so here goes: I Worry, worry is a habit, we bring to mind thoughts of danger and I do have a general anxiety disorder.
Number one thing you got to do is get moving. Try to sit as long as possible per day.
Almost all are yes, good luck for me, Thanks for the worksheet, i appreciate it
Thanks, I’m going to give this a go.
This was amazing, thank you! I really needed this❤
I definitely worry. And I have stress. And I have some overwhelm. Definitely not avoidance. I do have CPTSD. No to #6. No to #7. Well, I DO know why I'm anxious, but still interesting to watch video anyway.
Wow very nice video. I am sure it will help tons of people. Thank you. 🙏
Thanks Emma. The video came in the needed time
Great, well done.
This is very helpful. Thank you
Well, that video was something i have certainly 2 or 3 categories, and i daud to alot alot alot of yes.
Thank you ❤
This was so helpful.
thank you so much for this exercise!
Now that I think about it, reading and sleeping might be my signs of avoidance- which I’ve also seen be described as escapism.
I subconsciously think that if I’m not actively in my own reality I can finally be at peace.
Very helpful. Thank you!
This was really helpful. Thank you!
If you said yes to 99% of the question, is it too late to change when you’re in your 60’s. I am the queen of Catastrophysing!
Same here 😏
Yes, it is too late. Worry is your life, what gives you purpose.
No it's not too late !
Thank you so much!!
I love this women, she knows so much about anxiety etc. I need a women like her ❤️🩹
Great video, thank you.
thanks so much💕💕
gasp, I got Yes to all questions under Avoidance. I'm so cooked 💀
well, you could also now say, "I am so enlightened." ❤
Damn... You literally described me when listing avoidance habits
Thanks!!
Smooth 7 of 7 here 😮
I get anxious about what’s wrong with me all the time. Do I have ADHD? Do I have anxiety? Was I just born more stupid than others and have to deal with it ? It’s everything, everywhere, all at once.
I am with you
@@LiviaTavNaether thank you! Same right, back at you.
@@luenaiya thank you. I mean to say I feel you with your post. I feel exactly the same. I hope you will be alright. I hope we all do.
Me too. Sometimes I don’t know if it’s ADHD or my anxiety or both? It sucks.
As has always been the case thus far, thank you for the help. =)
I have like 4 of these based on this assessment. I have majority yesses in 3 of them.
Hyper Vigilance. Good does of self compassion, with staunch boundaries, will help that mess out!
I have majority yeses in all but one… eye opening.
People need to realise that people with anxiety disorders have oversensitised nerves, it's not a simple case of manning up and getting over it.
Please, how do I reach doctor Greg?
Is he on the internet?
I been watching the Why Am I Anxious animated music video every day. So funny and true at the same time.
I answered all 7 yes
You always say things that get the point across when nothing else ever has 😂 saying that anxiety started by developing small habits, and can be fixed that way, was really a 🤯 moment ha…. These videos are gold ❤
Thank you😊❤️
#1 social media like these
I have been struggling with so many of these off and on since being laidoff over a year ago.
Yes. Those thoughts about abuse and trauma got released when I got a vacation with my ex-wife.
