- I had fun designing and creating this DIY ADVENT CALENDAR BOOK project with my friend :)
An Advent calendar is a special calendar used to count the days of Advent in anticipation of Christmas... you can fill it with candy, money, tea, small toys ..

Amazing ! I've just done 5 for my family so they can keep christmas spirit in these weird times. They are just like child now and so happy. They just can't wait for opening the boxes ! What are the exact measurements for the paper boxes, what type of paper? What paper did you use for the actual box? Could you make differ t size boxes?
@@ninaunknown5068 The boxes measurements are 6cm x 6cm x 2.5 cm (or 2.37 inches x 2.37 inches x 0.99 inch).
For the boxes I used A4 colored paper (21 x 29.7 cm or inches 8.27 inches x 11.7 inches), 220 gsm or 210 gsm (210 is sufficient but I don’t recommand to have less grammage). You can make two boxes in one page head to tail.
For the Book cover I used A2 colored paper, 180 gsm.
Every box goes with its sister on the other side of the book. They are perfectly in line. I think you can do different size boxes but I will take into account that you have to add a square of paper on the boxes (in the video the dates) to make sure that they dont crush a little bit when you close the book if you don’t keep the exact matches of the box between the right and the left of the book. They are stronger on the side than in the middle. The square of paper reinforce them.

if you use mini close pegs it helps the boxes stick well, alsowould be great with book cloth and may keep better

Dann hast du Zuviel an der Lasche (Rechts und links) abgeschnitten. Da muss man aufpassen.. dann halten sie auch richtig gut. Unsere sind gefüllt und wir öffnen sie täglich, ich mag sie gerne. Da war von Nagellack, Lottolos, Schoko, Beauty Sachen wie Cremes, Masken, nagellackentfernerpads, Labello.. alles mögliche drin. Freu mich immer drauf 😃 habe es gegenseitig mit meiner Cousine befüllt. LG

Super cool! I'd be curious to know how long it took to create. Even with the small box, I was like, ugh, 24 of those might take a while... I'm surprised the outer cover is just 220gsm paper. It looked a little bit stretchy in the video, I thought it was some elastic material. Anyhow, stunning design and terrific work!!!

Tolle Idee! Nur fallen schwerere Dinge beim Öffnen des Buches sicher aus der Schachtel, da der Deckel der Schächtelchen durch zb Schoki aufgedrückt wird. Oder man klebt diese fest ^^
Vielen Dank! Nein, es fällt nix raus.. ich habe es befüllt, sogar Nagellack drin und ist fest. Man darf am Deckel an der Seite nicht zuviel abschneiden, dann sind die auch richtig fest drin 😊
