From an admitted dog show junkie, I LOVED this episode! From the husband saying "dog show people are weird", Bailey's "Bambi on Ice" rendition in class, to the wife admitting she anxious to try to show him, the husband replied I'm anxious to see HER TRY to show him too... to the whirling with the leash... Hysterical!!! Best episode ever!
If he was required to show then where was the breeder who was forcing them to do this? That person should have been holding their hands every step of the way knowing this family knew nothing about showing. and couldn't they have gotten advice from the sire's handler if he had win best in show at Cruff before? It shouldn't have taken Victoria to do this.
Its for the breeders business, the more dogs of that lineage that are successful at showing then the more they are worth and sought after. Breeding and showing is big business, which is what everything comes down to in the end..
It actually is though. They’ve had him since he was a puppy and haven’t trained him to walk properly and have allowed humping to become chronic behavior. I understand that they didn’t know what to do but why leave it so late to fix it?
nah this was all the owner's fault. that dog needed structure, boundaries and an outlet. Also in my opinion the humping should've been corrected with punishment. That is never okay.
I can't help it, is clumsy oafishness is just so endearing. I loved this episode. He feels like a character in some cute classic literature for kids. Like Pooh or Clifford.
I love how Victoria not only helps the family with the dogs but also the family depending on their needs such as how she gave Jane advice and helped her with her appearance for the show.
They had to agree to make him a show dog to get him? That is so strange! But at least the wife is cool with it. Everyone always wants to have a championship winning dog. But Victoria is right. Championship winner blood doesn’t guarantee a champion dog.
@@theGhostWolfe they wanted THAT dog and the breeder wanted THAT dog to be shown... maybe the breeder did not want all of the dogs from the litter to be shown but could see quality in this puppy.... experienced breeders got the eye for it... and the breeder was right too........ after taking part in just one puppy show where the dog did not even know how to behave he qualified for Crufts!! And at Crufts he got third... With more training for the following season he can get a much better result..... and then they can get money of it too cause they can use him as a stud.
Your point being? It's not strange for a breeder of show dogs to want their dogs to be shown. It's marketing their product. You're basically making my point about the stud fees. A dog that shows well is an advertisement for the breeder of that dog.
@@theGhostWolfe my point was that breeders don't necessarily want all their puppies to be shown only the ones that they think are promising..... these people could have chosen a different pup and not have that in their contract... they wanted this pup in particular so had to sign to agree to show it... for exactly the reason you said... for advertising their blood line... also, if successful enough they might want to use it themselves as studs... and the new owner can also make some money on it then.

This was such a wholesome video. For once it wasn't bad training and leadership from the owners being the main issue, just owners needing some guidance on how to train this overly active puppy. Victoria being genuinly happy and excited for that 3rd place was so sweet too
@@meevins he owns a huge amout of lands dedicated to dogs and other animals. And every dog that live peacefully there were once misbehaved dogs. He does much more than just train a dog by giving treats.
Hella Planty: I heard Cesar Milan has never had a dog put down for being unredeemable. Victoria had at least one dog put down rather than rehabilitated. If those owners had gone to Cesar Milan that dog might still be alive. I don’t blame Victoria - she was primarily an actress who got a dog training show, not a dog trainer. I think she’s very resourceful and has great ideas, but who knows if the ideas are hers or come from consultants hired by the show?
Victoria’s training techniques are unique and useful my dog bear is very stubborn but after a couple of hours he is in fit thank you for these enjoyable useful videos ☺️
Typical terrier breed, free willed so have their own mind 😂 I've a collie, an old English and a schnauzer and the schnauzer by far has the most personality 😂
3:17 Every single episode, without fail, they show a shot of Victoria driving her little sports car and straying out onto the other side of the road because presumably the camera crew are stood in the road.
My heart goes out to anyone who picks up a Giant Schnauzer "because they like the way it looks". Y'all are getting 40kg worth of attitude, but also intelligence and unending playfulness. Unlike most breeds, Giant Schanuzers don't lose their playfulness with age. We're on our 2nd Schnauzer in a row and yes both of them were handfulls for the 1st years of their lives. They do get very frustrated with not getting their way but with loads of patience and positive reinforcement (and consistency) you'll get a giant lovebug.
"With just 24 hours to go before Bailey's debut at the biggest dog show in the world, the pressure is mounting; but unfortunately, so is Bailey." 😂 👍🏻 Favourite episode, so far! Some great comedy editing and writing, and even the husband added some humour!
Victoria is fabulous as always, but. I'm not super happy about dog shows. I kinda feel like it comes off as exploiting the animals for the owners prestige, not to mention 'breed standards' are absolute rubbish and in quite a few breeds are actually unhealthy, for example expecting chows and pugs to have more exaggerated face wrinkles, which lead to breathing problems. Some shows even require cropped ears/tail for certain breeds, so you have to mutilate your dog to show them. Plus you're not allowed to spay/neuter your dog.
I too am not a huge fan of dog shows, especially as there is no one fully "healthy" breed standard. The only commendable thing that some dog shows are beginning to acknowledge this and are starting to change what is considered a breed standard - for example, German Shepherds should not have an exaggerated sloped back (linked with hip and back problems - just look at the one that won best in breed at crufts in 2016 - appalling), Dalmatian spots should be patches rather than individual spots anymore (individual spotting is linked to deafness in the breed) and pug tails should not curl over the back of the dog (as this is associated with spinal deformities). Granted, dog shows will never be perfect, but these steps are a start in the right direction I suppose
@UCAsNEpKvovvKTbVjdGCuMCw Purebred dogs have a lot of health issues because of the breeding standard, do they not? Where else did the bad hip of the German Shepherd from?
If you find the proper breeder the dog shouldn’t have health issues. My German Shepherd is a show dog and he is healthy and is actually hip certified meaning he’s not going to have problems with hips. What I feel is exploiting is when people breed “designer dogs”. Anything that’s breed just for popularity is usually a neurotic mess. If you actually study breed standards you’ll see that the goal is to improve the breed.
@@geminiisawesome6564 LOL, I have looked at many breed standards and the idea that they are to 'improve the breed' is at best extremely naive and at worse just horseshit. They have their own definition of 'improve' by which all they mean is 'look more similar to the standard'. The standards themselves absolutely do not improve the dogs' quality of life or health in the vast majority of cases. I know many breeders have bought into the idea that they are somehow creating 'better' dogs by following the standard, but it's usually entirely wishful thinking on their part.
It’s a breath of fresh air when the owners are actually quite endearing and it’s not their fault the dog misbehaves. This episode is honestly delightful
my favorite episode by far! While I think the episodes with a more serious tone and serious issues are very important, this one was just really entertaining and everyone involved was such a joy to watch. Bailey wasn't a problem dog, he was just an excited puppy that needed a push in the right direction. And that made his issues more light-hearted and funny. And the episode fit that tone beautifully.

What a legend
😂😂😂
Being a naturally clumsy person I thought that dog was hysterical. Lovely owners and so much charm from Victoria.
You can hire handlers for show dogs (it isn't required to show the dog yourself). And a handler would not have put up with that behavior.
Then the breeder should not require this puppy to show if it's not show temperment material.
Yes, it makes the breeder look really bad.
Totally agree. It’s so weird, breeders usually do not let show quality dogs enter pet homes.
Its for the breeders business, the more dogs of that lineage that are successful at showing then the more they are worth and sought after. Breeding and showing is big business, which is what everything comes down to in the end..
This is probably the first time the dog's misbehaviour wasn't the fault of the owners
There was another one too. Mad Max, the dog with the OCD. 😊
Theres another, tornado lottie. She was rescued and the family just couldnt curb her excitement.
It actually is though. They’ve had him since he was a puppy and haven’t trained him to walk properly and have allowed humping to become chronic behavior. I understand that they didn’t know what to do but why leave it so late to fix it?
@@judyives1832 he was 8 months old, he still WAS a puppy.
nah this was all the owner's fault. that dog needed structure, boundaries and an outlet. Also in my opinion the humping should've been corrected with punishment. That is never okay.
I can't help it, is clumsy oafishness is just so endearing. I loved this episode. He feels like a character in some cute classic literature for kids. Like Pooh or Clifford.
"Bailey, please don't hump the judge." Love it!
I laughed so much
I love how Victoria not only helps the family with the dogs but also the family depending on their needs such as how she gave Jane advice and helped her with her appearance for the show.
Right? I thought that was so wonderful! I wish I had friends like Victoria ...
Seaturtle Poppy I’m that friend with all of my friends and they come with me for the advice
They had to agree to make him a show dog to get him? That is so strange!
But at least the wife is cool with it. Everyone always wants to have a championship winning dog. But Victoria is right. Championship winner blood doesn’t guarantee a champion dog.
The breeder wants their animals shown so they can sell more puppies.

Hilarious episode. Has a comedy tone to it and the soundtrack/editing is great. 😂

Such a great episode! Some of the editing and quips were spot on and made me laugh.

I was so nervous for Bailey...sigh of relief. This was one time the owners didn't annoy me to heights. They are great owners. As usual, Victoria was the best...and I'm happy for Bailey...
I’ve never seen Victoria so comfortable around any other owners as she is with them they have been the most pleasant I’ve seen so far and it was nice not having to worry about the dog loved this ep
This was such a wholesome video. For once it wasn't bad training and leadership from the owners being the main issue, just owners needing some guidance on how to train this overly active puppy. Victoria being genuinly happy and excited for that 3rd place was so sweet too
Lol I loooove how honest the dad is! He said "the chance of us winning best puppy is about as much chance in the titanic floating" 🤣🤣🤣
22:28 her little celebration just proves how proud she is not only of the dog but of the owners for not giving up and persevering.

Victoria’s training techniques are unique and useful my dog bear is very stubborn but after a couple of hours he is in fit thank you for these enjoyable useful videos ☺️
the most wholesome episode ever! no problematic families nor demon spawn dogs!
I love how Bailey looks so proud of himself at the end :') now I just need Victoria to train me how to be an adult.
I feel like I’m watching “Miss Congeniality” (the movie with Sandra Bullock) for a dog lol
One of my favorite movies!
I love Bailey. I want one. He's a goof and he's adorable. Just needs a bit of work, that's all.
Typical terrier breed, free willed so have their own mind 😂 I've a collie, an old English and a schnauzer and the schnauzer by far has the most personality 😂
Sounds like the perfect line for a bailey ad lol
He acts like my husky. He doesn’t hump but he literally acts just like him otherwise. Big clumsy awkward husky.

"With just 24 hours to go before Bailey's debut at the biggest dog show in the world, the pressure is mounting; but unfortunately, so is Bailey." 😂 👍🏻
Favourite episode, so far! Some great comedy editing and writing, and even the husband added some humour!
I read this exactly when they said it in the video
Victoria is fabulous as always, but.
I'm not super happy about dog shows. I kinda feel like it comes off as exploiting the animals for the owners prestige, not to mention 'breed standards' are absolute rubbish and in quite a few breeds are actually unhealthy, for example expecting chows and pugs to have more exaggerated face wrinkles, which lead to breathing problems. Some shows even require cropped ears/tail for certain breeds, so you have to mutilate your dog to show them.
Plus you're not allowed to spay/neuter your dog.
It's completely barbaric
I don’t know why I’m crying, but Bailey’s transformation made me very happy.
Omg so relatable 🥺🥺

Awwww Bailey is just a big, goofy, teenage boy. I am so happy to see him do so well 🤩
“He’s having his wicked way.” XD

my favorite episode by far!
I think I’d enjoy a slapstick comedy film about this dog “Bailey goes to the dog show.”
