Halloween Kills was one of the best Halloween movies, so to follow it up with Halloween Ends where we spend 75% of the movie with Corey dicking around and Laurie becoming pie-making granny felt like a bizarre turn of events. Laurie decided THEN to become docile and domestic? After the death of her only child and a handful of her remaining friends? (Like Tommy the boy she protected in the first movie and her best friend who Michael killed's dad) It's so weird. I was never the biggest fan of Allyson either but here she comes off as a dimwit all too willing to throw her granny under the bus. I almost want a re-edit where Halloween Kills is the movie where the ending has Laurie throw Michael into the shredder and not Ends.
I was shocked when I first saw it. Weeks later I've grown to love it watching it in context with the entire timeline (1978 - 2022) It's a great ending, I don't care what anyone says.
Ignore them. People thinking they're entitled to dictate the story, are the problem. Not us or the creators. " story didn't go MY way so it's bad" is all the argument they can muster, sad
The mask having powers doesn’t make sense when you think back to the og movie. Michael stole the mask and knives from the store after he already killed.
I was disappointed to say the least. I really don't understand this direction. They "Last Jedi'd" it. I don't understand why keep Hawkins alive and show the flash back in Kills to having no point of him being in this movie. Why not introduce Corey earlier in the trilogy. They should of had Laurie, Allyson, Hawkins and Lindsey hunt the shape and finish there story arcs in my opinion.
One of the worst in the franchise. Probably bottom 2. When Laurie told Michael she thought he was the boogeyman, but he’s just a man who’s about to stop breathing, David Gordon Green damaged the entire franchise and the character of Michael Myers. Probably irreparably. John Carpenter said: “Michael is a man, but he’s not, he’s more than that.” Apparently Green and his other three writers disagree. Four writers and this is what we get? Embarrassing. Don’t believe me? Take a look at the terrible box office numbers.

My take on it is when Corey was being choked and Michael was staring into his eyes, he transferred the evil, kinda like loomis got the thorne curse at end of h6. and that made michael human again. since in kills they hint hes super natural and the more he kills the more he Transends, and if ya look at it that way it makes sense why laurie was able to overtake a dude in his 60s thats not superhuman. However in halloween 78 dr loomis states hes not even remotely human. So im not sure how I can explain that. however I dig the movie it brings closure to the timeline.

It makes zero sense because John Carpenter and Debra Hill may not have meant for Michael to become an icon but (surprise surprise) he did. Michael Myers IS Halloween, not Corey. They already tried a Halloween without Michael and it failed. People want Michael Myers. You know why Michael and Laurie were front and center in the “Halloween Ends” trailer? Because had the “Halloween Ends” trailer been more accurate as to what 90% of it was about then hardly any of the fans would go see it and they KNEW this! In the end “Halloween Ends” will most definitely be a good thing for the franchise because in time it’s going to inspire a filmmaker to actually make the best Halloween movie ever.
It needed to explain the source of his power before ending it.
This is a weakness of all these types of movies. I want to know what happens to the evil when his body is destroyed. I can't see even the total destruction of his body as his death, there's more to him that they never explored.
So its not a perfect send off. Kills was amazing, but ends was a fizzle out, not a climactic end.
This was not a good send off. The way they disrespected Michael Myers in this film pissed me off. Saying that Michael is just a man and not supernatural is stupid because then it doesn't explain how Michael survived all the damage he received throughout the past films. Getting shot multiple time in the chest, shot in the neck, stabbed in the back, stabbed in the neck, fallen off a 2 story balcony back first after getting shot 6 times, survived in a burning house and brutally beaten down by a mob. No human being can survive what Michael's experienced. The only way to explain how Michael keeps coming back is to go the supernatural route and give a proper explanation on how and why Michael is the way he is and what really happened on Halloween 1963 when Michael killed Judith. And I don't think anyone wants another Halloween reboot. People still want to see Michael Myers, but I don't think anyone is interested in another reboot.
So the best way to continue the Halloween franchise after Ends, is to bring Michael back as a zombie. Having a zombified Michael Myers would be extremely interesting and would make Michael even more scary and unstoppable. And to explain how Michael comes back as a zombie that's were Dr Loomis steps in, where Allison and her friends look into Loomis's notes about the years he spent with Michael. In Loomis's notes it states that Michael is not a human being, but a demonic figure, a demon. A demon using the body it stole from an innocent child to spread fear. The more it kills, the more it transcends. Loomis states that the demon could be connected to a cult that existed back in the 1800s called the Cult Of Thorn. The demon spent decades upon decades to search for the proper host, and it turned out to be Michael Myers. The demon killed Michael Myers back in 1963 and continues to use his body till this very day. Halloween Night 1963, that was the day both Judith and Michael died, and the birth of The Shape. The Shape can spread it's evil upon others like a virus (like what happened to Corey Cunningham in Ends and Dr Sartain in 2018). Loomis concludes that The Shape can't be destroyed because it feeds on evil. And as long as their evil in this world, The Shape will remain immortal. The last quote of Loomis's notes are, "You can't kill, what's already dead". Then the next scene shows Michael's body reassembling itself as John Carpenter's Halloween score plays in the background. After Michael's reassembled himself, he kills a truck driver in his POV. Michael steals his clothes, steals his truck and drives back to Haddonfield to finish what he started. When Michael arrives in Haddonfield, he kills Laurie Strode in a brutal fight and takes his mask back. When the town finds out that Laurie had been brutally stabbed to death, all the towns people leave Haddonfield. When Allison finds out, she makes it her mission to destroy Michael once and for all. So Allison and her friends stay behind as the town evacuates. Then the rest of the film is Allison and her friends vs Zombie Michael Myers in a ghost town. The title of the film would be Halloween Rise or Halloween Returns.
Halloween 2018 and kills feel like a trilogy Halloween ends doesn't feel like a proper end to the trilogy
This one is a long stretch but they could do a spiderman no way home thing where some unexplained event happens that has og Micheal, Thorn Micheal, and rob zombie's Micheal wreaking havoc on haddonfield

Allison never progressed into anybody interesting. They killed Corey off when there was potential to leave it open to him coming back like a what if Michael got his mask back but after the confrontation with him Corey isn't laying there anymore. But nope. Laurie's ending was ok but everything else around that. Not really. There's even a scene where corey and Allison are in the street and she acts. Well she seems flabbergasted because that guy is a better actor. So I guess play sign language with your hands. Sorry about this rant. That will be all. I'm sorry it won't happen again. I have my own opinions. You have yours it's fine.

Let’s fast forward to a new movie. A movie that depicts MM as more than just a man and back to pure evil. They will have to begin it with a scene that very clearly illustrates that MM is exactly that, and oh how insanely violent and memorable that scene could be… and a big F U to DGG all within one big violent opening scene. Just like that, the fans would be back into their glory and back into the franchise 🎃

I’m going to say this at the end of the day this hole trilogy has been pushing the idea that Michael Myers is for the most part just a “normal” guy. A normal guy who snapped and killed his sister for reasons no one can understand. This trilogy has for better worse gone out of its way to show Michel as a mortal man no supernatural powers outside of super strength and at least some level of invulnerability witch is more a necessity of the genera then anything.

NO! If David Gordon Green would have put in the Silver Shamrock ending. The Halloween Franchise torch would have been past from Laurie Strode and Michael Myers to a NEW generation , new shape , old and NEW Halloween characters and touch old / new storyline. The shape had a chance to leave Haddenfield and still continue if we had the Silver Shamrock/ curse/ thorn cult ending storyline

The mask thing was the cop out of this movie. They could of done something interesting with Cory but nope. They killed him. Wtf love letter to the original creators if you could of done something interesting? Cory didn't need to die I say his body should of disappeared.

If Ends gets reshooted, I hope they go by the entire novel except they make the final battle longer and Michael wins against Laurie.
Like half the world I liked it but I’m in the middle about it. For the trilogy as a whole it was really good, probably like some people I like these because after the original timeline or the reboot Michael hasn’t been scary or cool since Halloween 5-6 so seeing him in the modern technology he was so cool the only things that kinda suck to me is Halloween 2 and the sibling relation not included and this Michael is yeah still evil and probably possessed by the devil but the cult of thorns Michael was just so much more with his supernatural abilities like his regeneration was way more crazy unlike in this one he can’t regenerate his lost fingers or heal his scars or his eye that was poked.
I agree with the young lady. From my perspective they could've did things a bit better. They could've kept Cory alive, but sadly they didn't. I admire what they were doing in this movie and it's not a bad movie they could have just execute certain things better. The Laurie Strode and Michael Myers storyline, good. Put them to execute another movie based on the Halloween concept of the evilness they could have did better by I don't know keeping Corey alive but most likely Corey will be back for the sequel if they decided to make in Michael Myers base character like had a way they did just bring them back to life. If not that then, well Danielle Harris could be brought back as the niece of Michael Myers storyline.

Nope no matter how much you try and make this novie sound good it's really not it's a fucking disaster hence why people are starting a petition to have the movie remade and i don't blane them they say it's the end of michael and laurie's saga but the whole movie is focused on neither of them so it's not really a ending to a story between 2 horror icons who's story has been running for over 40 years and if they did have corey survive and become the new michael myers (boogeyman) people would of just hated that even more
