    Great video man! This is information I never knew was a thing. “Production hub” being one of those and I’m new to getting into this videography business. I’ve invested in a camera (Sony a7iv) to do content for now but the goal is to eventually leave my 9-5 and do something like you are doing! You give me hope that it can be done!

      @@JoseVazquez-gr7gj It can definitely be done. I’ve helped my colleagues do it but just showing them the simple numbers that I make and how knowing others in the videography community is crucial. Have you looked into AOD? The prepared route is to get yourself in a community like that BEFORE you leave your job.

    Mannn you’re right about passive and active marketing! It really is nice waking up to a new message on your website from someone who has already vetted you and wants to work with you! Nice job bro keep killing it! 🔥🔥🔥! Super happy that doc shoot worked out for you. I gotta co-sign almost everything you said in this video. So many good insights!
    One thing though. Monitor and Control app DOES work with the FX6! In fact, I’m using it on an Amazon Prime show that I’m shooting as a wireless directors monitor for the director to have on set. What’s funny is this has actually been possible on the FX6 for a long time. Originally though the app was called Content Browser Mobile (or CBM on the App Store.) Around firmware update 3 or 4 on the FX6, Sony rolled in all the features of CBM into this new app called Monitor and Control and added a couple new features (newest one being false color!) But CBM is the forerunner and it’s very similar. As a matter of fact, my second ever vlog I did was showing how to use this with my FX6.

    • @907DP
      @907DP Місяць тому

      @@davidmorefield it’s a little work setting it up using the ‘network’ function in the fx6 and using AP (Access Point) mode. But after you set it up once, your FX6 puts out a WiFi signal and your phone or iPad can connect to it.
      A lot of people say CBM was unstable for them. I think I might have just gotten lucky. But it was good experience using it because it was basically the 1.0 version of M&C. And you can do so many things with it…like set up your FX6 and A7Siii for 2 angles on an interview….and monitor and control them both even if one is not within reach. You can tap on the phone screen where you want to focus, set up manual focus and scroll it up and down to manually focus (instead of using the ‘hinky’ fly by wire manual focus ring on the lens. You can control the ND, use clear image zoom, change LUTs, honestly
      pretty much every possible control is there.
      Take part of a day when you aren’t working to set your FX6 up with it and you’ll find countless uses for it on set.
