Great review! I use JoyToKey to use the TabMate with other software in Windows. Very easy to set up! Just press a button on the TabMate, it lights up in the list in JoyToKey, then you just tell it which keyboard shortcut / mouse action you want to bind it to. You can set up different profiles for different applications too.

Thanks Aaron for doing this review. I recently picked up Clip Studio Paint myself. It's a program I've wanted to start using for a while. In the usual"get acquainted with a new software" routine, I browsed through amazon for any tutorial books. It was during this search that first saw the Tabmate. You have confirmed many of my suspicions about the product saving me time, money & many head aches. Thanks.

I was doing this years ago with a PS3 Nav Controller.
I even tried a Ebay Bluetooth mini game controller, £1 total cost.
Then I got an Intuos with express keys and apps got better UI for touch use.

I'm going to have to recommend that everyone gets a one handed left side keyboard with CTRL, ALT, SPACE and you can do everything with your left hand. Undo, redo, z and x to increase and decrease brush size, space to pan, ctrl to drag, alt to sample, shift for straight lines or a modifier, alt-a and alt-z to move forwards and backwards in animation frames, these remotes are limited by assigning commands to single buttons but with a single handed keyboard you can use combinations of buttons and it becomes second nature muscle memory, you'll be speeding through tasks.

Which one hand keyboard do you recommend/use?

@@wylabley I haven't really found a great one, you just need to look for one that has the right buttons. It needs a full sized spacebar, you want CTRL, home and ALT, full sized left shift, z, x, c and v. some one handed keyboards replace some of these keys or move them into strange places. Right now I'm using the one by SADES from Amazon.

I know the Wacom software wasn't really a topic in this video, but after getting a Huion kamvas 12 for a budget graphics tablet it made me really appreciate just how easy Wacom's software makes setting up a tablet.

I've been curious about how using it compares to using the buttons and stuff on my tablet

On the MobileStudio Pro 16, I'd prefer the express keys on the tablet since I don't have to hold them.

@@aaronrutten ok thanks that makes sense! I'm sure its easier when using a centique or a tablet with no buttons. 😊 as a side note - I use a lot of different programs and CSP is usually the one I recommend as "good all-around" not as good as Painter for painting not as good as Photoshop for photo editing, not as good as Illustrator for logos and stuff but it shines when doing comics and is pretty decent at most things (and is cheap!)

Too bad I live in a country that doesn't have Amazon and international shipping isn't cheap at all.

You needed a keyboard to label layers? Really? thats your complaint. The tabmate isn't a keyboard, you know that right? Thats like complaining you needed to plug in a keyboard to type in chat on your ps5 while using the dual shock controller. You should listen to yourself. Really reaching for anything to say.
