I have the B&W DM10. I bought them used. one of the tweeters was dead. I found the small wire going to the diaghram on the tweeter was broken. When i pulled the tweeter, it had a build date of march 1982. the speakers are 42 years old. i found a used tweeter on ebay for 50 bucks, also 42 years old. So instead i tried a Dayton Audio silk dome tweeter DC28FT-8. it is the same style as the original tweeter, slighly smaller in physical dimensions. i drilled new holes and installed it. it is such a close match in size and appearance you would be hard pressed to notice. I could not be happier with the sound. It mimics the other speaker which is totally original perfectly. the tweeter cost about 33 bucks in feb 2024. if you need a tweeter for a DM10 dont hesitate to buy the dayton audio. i cannot tell the difference from the original. very very happy with it.
The klipsch play louder at the same volume setting. and they are very bright sounding. I have the B&W DM10 and can say this about them. they are wonderfully balanced. you can listen to them for hours with zero ear strain. amazing speakers considering that were made in the early 1980's
Sorry, we have now improved which speakers are being played in the new videos. But in the description, we list out the speakers and change in 30 seconds.
