That's a very touristy area in Sonora. I go there every year. It's actually very safe than most think.

@@clarissar6317 Well offcourse you can't trust anyone, Now if you're wondering in middle of night offcourse anything can happened. Or leaving your valuables out in opening obviously someone will try to steal etc just like here in the U.S. but what I'm trying to reference is that this tourist area in Sonora is very protected by the chief . This city of puerto peñasco (Rocky Point) makes their money from tourists . So to their benefit they will make sure crimes are low etc. If anything what the cops will try to get you is by fining you for not stopping at a stop sign, etc. I'm been going there for almost 20 years . As long as you follow rules stay out of trouble . People think Mexico and automatically think cartels, etc but this side is very protected due to tourism. I'm pretty sure there are more white people taking over than Mexicans lol but its a fun place just always watch your surroundings
@@ComowithJackie ahh I see what you mean. I just came back from Cabo San Lucas last week and our driver had this conversation with us. For Cabo He said that there are still cartels and regular danger like anywhere else but that they don’t mess with the tourist area because tourists bring in money so it doesn’t make sense for them to do that stuff in that area. I haven’t been to peñasco but hope to go one day
