This is such a nostalgic bit of footage, not just the music and the old fashioned non climate chnage winters we had, just seeing the kids get stuck in to helping and playing with each other. Made me really smile
So you lived near Fontaine's eh? That cheicken sign was a hoot. I grew up in Dedham. Lived in Rosi and JP, and I went to high school at CM in Westie. I was seven and a half in '78. I've been in your old neighborhood oh...about ten million times.
@@bbb462cid 🔮😉haha... nice! I haven't been back east in about 10yrs but check in online when I'm feeling nostalgic. Man they straight leveled up! Facilities lookin like the University of CM... if someone had told us 25 yrs ago 🏈would be as dominant as Coach Hanson's 🏒🥅 was at the time.. 🤨🤣🤯
Digging out from that blizzard took several days, and as I remember, it was quite cold in the days that followed. My father and I did all the digging. We had an 8 foot snow drift in front of the house. It's a find memory now, but was a huge pain in the butt at the time. School was closed for a week. I'm all set if it happens again. I bought a condo, no longer own a snow shovel. I do still love snow, just not a ridiculous amount like that.

West Roxbury also borders ROSLINDALE. Part of West Roxbury used to be in Roslindale- Sunset Hill.

Yup, it was definitely a storm unlike any other. For me, anyway!
Cleveland looked just like that, we didnt even have a snow day, but the principal left it to the parents, most stayed home,
I remember this storm. I was 11/12 the snow overhead our windows
New England area? Boston? I ask because a lot of comments are from the mid-west, not Massachusetts.
The one that hit the Ohio valley along with Indian and Michigan was Jan 25-27, 1978. Just a few weeks earlier
My dad lost a boot in that blizzard in Indianapolis and he found it like 3 months later
This is about the February 6 blizzard in Boston, not Indiana.
I remember...I lived in Floyds Knobs, Indiana and we were out of school so long that we ended up having school on tv. That was the best winter ever.
Where was this? I lived in South Bend Indiana during the Blizzard.
yes. east side
Kim Sells This was the New England blizzard. Woonsocket got socked with 4 1/2 feet.
really? because it looks like that in Indiana as well.
It was the February 6 blizzard in New England, one of the worst we ever had.
No.. it says West Roxbury, its Massachusetts
Who cares about 6 days after? Hate the choice of music
Aren't we the positive one? Mute the sound if you don't like the music.
