I lived in Egypt a few years back & lived there through the summer including in the heat of 50°c. When I saw Bedouins wearing coats & headscarves originally I didn't get it. Then I worked it out. Wearing clothes acts as insulation, not as heating. So that means when it's really hot wearing a turban, a scarf & a coat will literally cool you down. I got used to the weather by wearing a cotton turban, cool, lightweight breathable overshirt, a tank top underneath & cool airy linen or cotton trousers. Silk is also a good fabric in hot humid weather which is I guess why Chinese wear a lot of silk traditionally. So if you avoid exposure to the sun, wear breathable fabric, you're going to sweat less. Staying in the shade or in cool, well ventiled airy locations next to water, when you don't have access to AC or a fan also helps. Having fountains also helps cool the air which is why you see them so much in Mediterranean or Arabic culture, normally in an atrium surrounded by shady columned areas.

As a tropical country that only has a rainy season and summer can relate, 39°C still wears a jacket to avoid skin irritation and burning.
39 is all they got?
And call it hot temperature?
I lived in a city that the temperature in there was 73 c° in summer
En Costa Rica tenemos ese clima. Algunos días a llegado a 42°c en la costa. En verdas es un clima de lujo
@@mecenery3285 73°C or 73°F, which part it is? I thought hotest is 54°C.
The summer in Japan was no joke. I was not prepared for it 😢
Back in the 1980’s my best friend, as we waited in line to enter a Patti LaBelle concert in Memphis Tennessee in the dead of winter said to me, “it’s ok to be cold Andy, you just can’t look cold” and we finally got through the line and watched Patti sizzle like a piece of bacon all over the stage. It was worth it and we both looked amazing. Later that night we were mugged leaving the concert, shoved into our own car and driven who knows where them left in the side of the rode in just our socks and underwear. Maybe we were looking too good.😅
This story went so far beyond the initial premise I was genuinely surprised at the ending, had me like
"😮...well damn"
Man, the 80s was a wild time
Dude, that Japanese man is GORGEOUS. I'd suffer and melt during any summer in Japan just to be next to him. Haha. 😂

When you get into a taxi in Panama, you will understand the winter clothes. For other purposes, though, I don’t know.

That salaryman and dad came straight from Yakuza
It might be true, I've been in a Japanese company in my country and the Japanese there always used jacket while I always used a small fan on my desk😅
He's not wrong, he DO look good
As long as you get your layers on before your body heats up, and you don't work your body heat up while you're out there (stay moving slow and don't push hard on hills) layers can actually insulate you from heat if you're not staying outside too long and use the shade well.
