@@TFT-bp8zk I have hope. IR's aren't near the load of cascading and trail effects. It is essentially EQ'ing a fixed preset, so I think it will make it to the FM's. You might have to back off stacking up too much on a single tone, but I would think the FM3 would handle this just fine on some basic rock presets. I wouldn't even be offended offloading some ambients to an H9 or a Strymon stomp in the loop to get the cabs the way I want.

Those were all the albums I could afford at the time, and an old record player… today I own a FM9 and a dozen awesome guitars. Dreams come true!
This looks great! I've been missing this from the Axe FX-2. I hope there are some Dyna-Bass Cabs as well. Not that I actually know what I'm doing there, but it's fun to twist them knobs 😹
@@LeonTodd So no guarantees that it will? Switched to the FM9 but still have my 3 If this isn't ever coming to the FM series then I may have to rethink!
My understanding is on the Axe-Fx II the mic sims were filters applied to IR's that had been captured using a flat reference mic. Good in theory but not as much in practice. This new approach moves between thousands of individual IR's shot with the actual mics.
To be fair I've used one IR for the last few years for every live gig and session I've done so it's not essential, but it is very nice to have in there now.
@Leon Todd +1 if you already have your 1 or 3 most used cabs dialed in, this will just be an additional feature and quick way to play around. Every added feature just solidifies the Fractals place as top-dog. Because when it comes down to it, its about the modeling and effects. Nobody does it better.
It's everything I love in one box - the core amp tones are great, the effects selection is like having a room filled with vintage pedals and rack gear and the controllers/modifiers make it a creative sound design tool.
@@LeonTodd I’m just suddenly able to afford it, but I look at it and wonder if it’s about to be outdated with the way everything is going. I guess thats technology though. My application is like a million other people, home recording. I get the chance to build my little dream guitar space and it’s been something I’ve wanted. Is it worth the money? Probably. More than I’ll ever need? Also probably haha.
@@guitartube5822 Fractal are second to none when it comes to firmware updates, and they've historically supported their units past the production span. The Axe-Fx II got 2 big updates after the III had come out for instance.
Even if they come out with a new Axe FX unit, the III would be hard to outgrow. The depth of editing allows you to basically create your own custom effects with every type of parameter control imaginable, you can create frakenstein amps by swapping tone stacks, tubes and components etc. Updates are frequent and easy to implement. The routing allows you to incorporate the unit any way you see fit and it's a killer recording tool.
Currently the IR is a snapshot of the cab and mic at a fixed position. It is what it is. If you want a different mic and/or mic position with that same cab you have to capture a separate IR.
Yeah Dyna-Cabs are cool, but what about DINO-Cabs!
I'll show myself out.
🤣🤣🤣

🤦😅
No stay, I liked it 🤣
Here all week?
Can't wait for this to be released to the FM Series units!
@@TFT-bp8zk I'm sure Cliff and team will find a way to make it happen!

It was just announced a couple of days ago that they will be releasing it for the FM3 along with the new Revv Gen :)
I am absolutely loving Dyna-Cabs. I can't wait for the list to expand beyond the initial 25, which are actually a great start.
Will be a great addition to my FM9. Thanks Leon!
so excited for this feature!! Thanks Legend
I really like this on the helix, so no doubt it will be great on the fractal units.
I said they should have these feature years ago, I got called crazy.
Exciting! I'll try it on mine tomorrow!
Yeah, I love that Firehouse Riff 🤘🏻
Thanks so much Leon
2:30 that’s why I love Leon!
Riff raff away legend!
What a tune!

Waiting for the FM9 version! 😍
Here's hoping it makes it to the FM's

@@davuspg there's been no mention of anything aside from this being a beta release for the Axe-Fx III. Only FAS/Cliff knows
@@davuspg just saw a post on the forum where Cliff mentioned it's getting worked on for the fm9

Amazing, thanks for letting me know. Legend!
Thanks bruh
May I ask, why Cab block after bypassed Amp block has no impact on sound in some of your scenes? thanks
Oh HELL yeah!
nice feature. makes you wonder why they dispensed with the mic simulation in the first place though

Frist!!!! perfect timing just got home from work and my frist firmware update for my Fx3 Turbo and somthing as big as this is in it Sweet!!
Looks great, but will it really replace TV MIX 7?😂
Hahaha neeeeeveeeeeer!
As not a fractal owner I am surprise they implemented this approach for cabs only now.

Are the Dyna Cab features, perhaps later, in upcoming Firmware updates available for the FM3 and/or the FM9 as well ?
There's been no mention either way at this stage
I can't install Dynacabs, I click begin and nothing happens 😢🤔
I just installed it a few minutes ago.
Fantastic 🤟
Is the AxeFx 3 still the standard for you? Or do you think it’s gonna get surpassed in the near future?

Are there limits between the AFX III Mk. I VS the Mk. II with respect to using these new cabs and features?
No, it works on all versions!
Hey, your schnoz healed, good times!
The resident birb has been much more respectful of the schnoz
Is there a way to make your own dyna-cab IR’s?
Not at the moment. I hope they dd it as a feature once the full release is out.
this is awesome, very nice addition, does this mean you might switch out from 'legacy' LT TV mix 7? =)
Probably not for live stuff but it's nice having these options available for recording or dialling in different tones.
IS there a LT TV mix7 Dyna cab Yet ?
I just need to borrow Cliff's new mic robot and I'll do it!
I’m fantastic.
So confirm Leon that distance and mic position at the moment are fixed at certain values?thanks

Спасибо, Леон! Отличная новость!🇷🇺
Oh boy! 😂
