Jimmy and his bandmates belt out an old favourite of Métis Fiddle music lovers with their version of Lone Star Rag! Originally wrote and sung by Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys and first recorded back around 1940. The Nicely Put Together Band sound more original than most versions I have heard live before, and with their awesome fiddle player adding a little twist of Métis flavour in there to get you moving!
I would like to send my Cuzzins Jimmy and Evelyn a huge shout out and thank you for first of all the invite and the great hospitality. The potluck supper ranged from my personal favourite of neck bones to KFC Chicken, fresh bannock and pastries! What a great time to spend with friends around a family atmosphere with great music and drop-in musical guests!
