The positive wire is acc ? Is that 12v with key on? How does it auto dim does it not need to be connected to the lights or some sensor ?

hi excellente job, I want it for my car, but, do you know that the other wires you cut, one is the reverse signal, when you put the reverse the autodimming is off.. but I don´t know wich is the wire...

But why it’s important to you? Other wires are related with side mirrors and interior lighting. But they are useless as you don’t need them in order to operate auto dim mirror.

@@lutz6441 I don't know in vw, in Ford they have 3 wires, 1 positive, 1 negative and the reverse signal, I dont know if vw is similar, but the signal reverse is for safety reasons.....

Sadly I don’t have information about reverse signal wire location in this mirror plug.
