Your Essential Guide to Red Bull Hardline 2023

Due to the extreme weather conditions in the Dyfi valley today (Sunday, July 16) we have decided to cancel Red Bull Hardline so as to ensure the safety of the riders. This follows our close monitoring of course conditions in collaboration with the riders.
Red Bull Hardline is back for its ninth edition and has strengthened its status as one of the toughest downhill mountain bike races in the world. Join Jono Jones trackside as he guides us through the event so far.
Due to the extremely high winds, the decision has been made to cancel tomorrow’s Red Bull Hardline qualifiers. This is to ensure the safety of the riders which is of utmost importance.
As ever, the weather conditions in the Dyfi valley are proving to be changeable.
We are closely monitoring the situation ahead of the Red Bull Hardline live finals on Sunday, which is currently going ahead as planned.

@@Tazznbk interesting point dude. Red Bull sponsors a very specific type of rider, usually coming into the peak of their career and then onwards.
Jono is awesome on the bike, but I think he fits the media side of the business better, if that makes sense.
I think he has more future as an employee than a sponsored athlete.
No disrespect to his riding, but he's really good presenting.

I think it's really cool to see the girls riding at hardline. Amazing to see the progression they've all made in the last few years.
What a cool moment for the Jones brothers to be able to send this massive trail together. Love seeing Jono in front of the camera, man is a legend. My moneys on Bernard to take the race home, but the lineup here is huge, can't wait to see what all the riders are gonna throw at this beast of a track.

Excellent video. Epic course as usual and Jono was a great choice. I am curious about two things though. I absolutely love seeing the women this year. It's about time! Are the women actually racing on Sunday? Red Bull doesn't list any women on the rider lineup on their site. What's up with that? Also, isn't Hardline usually after the World Cup season? I thought it was.

We had accommodation booked. Six hour drive to be told it's cancelled. Appreciate rider safety first but the short notice is poor considering this weather is clear to see all week on the weather reports. Heartbroken son.
It's always going to be a last minute thing.
If it's cancelled it will have been a last minute tough call.

Every clip I've seen from Red Bull Hard Line from MTB vloggers at the event, Bernard Kerr has been an absolutely positive and helpful guy, he's giving other riders confidence and tips, towing them in, and the he's always the first to congratulate them when they've landed a tricky obstacle... I wish him the very best at this year's race, he deserves it for being such a great guy. Well done Bernard, you are a credit to the sport.

I agree. We need way more Kyle Strait. I've seen almost zero coverage of him considering this is his first major event since he broke himself at Rampage last year.

apart from all of the urban downhill like Valparaiso and Madeline hardline is my favorite event of the year the road cap and the 45ft step down after the step up it’s just heaven for me Plus it’s So sick now so many girls are coming and shredding now thanks to Jess Unfortunately for her 2ed time in a row she has been injured looks like she’s got a broken ankle GWS
