Advice what you describe here for making holes are useful for manual modeling if not require changes. My suggestion for making holes in tekla is using of component catalog HOle generator.
yes, thank you for suggestion, for simple squire or circle or standard profile hole generation - Hole Generation component is useful, for irregular shape holes like sharp corner and arc shape corners in the same hole or slotted holes, these method preferable. for irregular with sharp corners - Polygon hole Generation component can helps. I will make video on hole generation and Polygon hole Generation components also.

Simplicity and Tekla are not synonymous, they love to make things difficult, you will know what I'm talking about when you use their horrible macros.

@@GaniSk Just simple : For slotted holes i prefer to use bolts command. Unchecked all fields and you have perfect slotted hole.
