Thanks, we are really proud of this series and there will be more from Jory coming this year!
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to share and educate us with your craftsmanship.
really enjoy watching Jory work... wish he did more videos.
Beautiful work! Love your passion and unique style. Much respect from a fellow craftsman.
One of the most beautiful stools I ever seen, wonderful design and great informative step-through on the craftsmanship
I am a basic woodworker. You've given me great insight thank you
Great video. Joey, you are extremely talented. Thank you for sharing some tops and tricks.
Absolutely AWESOME..... well done
Miss you Jory Brigham!!! You were a big inspiration to me getting into woodworking....oh, and definitely ahead of your time with your abilities and creativity. The youtube maker/woodworking community definitely needs you back.
Awww shucks:) thanks man. I really appreciate Woodcraft for pushing me to do this stuff. Ive never thought of myself as a content creator. It’s a slippery slope, and there’s so many people doing it out there (some probably shouldn’t) But its fun to do once in a while.
Great video, glad to see you back on the tube!
Thanks for watching!
A true master! Very inspiring.
Nice and neat design. Great piece of furniture!
Really enjoy your presentation and teaching style. Thanks
I appreciate the compliment. Thank you!

Such a well done video! Great quality
This video is the Holy Grail!
This is awesome. So glad you guys put this together. Jory is awesome. It’s like a modern new yankee workshop. Thank you thank you thank you.
Pat Donovan thanks so much! This was the first set of videos that we’ve done like this. We learned a lot for sure. Glad you dig it!
Thank you for watching and your compliments!
A piece of art.

Jory Brigham, you've created a fine piece of furniture.
Well thank you, I appreciate that;)
Inspiring video!! Thank you!
The smell of wood is so attracting, so pleasant...
Fantastic, and great looking stool. Thanks
So appreciate you watching
Well done!!😊
Great craftsmanship!
Thanks so much
great work !
I am about starting as a woodworker right now, i hope someday i can afford required tools for making that kind of chair. Such as a beautifull piece. Superb 👏
I'd like to have 1/4 the shop this guy has! What a inspiration!
Muy bueno. Especialmente cuando le dio la terminacion de lo que uso para resaltar el color de la madera. Un diseño extraño pero 3 de la misma se veria bien en cualquier espacio que halla en una casa para poner Stools.
Jory all wood work nice really
Emerson sofa i like it
Love the chair. I learn so much from watching. I’m going to attempt one myself.
I realize I'm kinda off topic but does anyone know of a good place to stream new movies online?
@Kylo Stefan Flixportal
@Keagan Quinton Thank you, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there =) I appreciate it!
@Kylo Stefan Happy to help xD
Just WOW!!!!
Thanks!
😱 lovely
Glad you like it. I cannot see the point. One of a kind and it will stay that way.
I’d love to see something like this how to but for that wood art in the background!
Fantastic
Thank you
If you want to learn more, go to one of his classes!!!
I just keep on watching this vid everytime it pops up. I love this chair design. How can I get the paper templates for this chair?
Great video and awesome seat! Your shop is amazing! Any chance you need a shop apprentice? 😃
Какая классная у. Вас мебель все супер
Можно не знать язык, на котором говорит человек, но технический язык понятен на любом языке)
Молодец. Приятно смотреть.
You have quite a few Festool 1400 Routers!!! I really wish I could afford to buy one! :)
I thought I was the only one that had clamping problems. Ha ha. Nice piece.
You can never have too many clamps... Thanks for watching!
jory how many routers do you have?
jory: yes
Love the chair Jory! Have you had any issues with racking over the years and causing the domino joint to start to fail?
Hey David. No I haven’t. That foot rest really helps it. I do make this stool for a counter height and that one did have some racking because I did not have that stretcher at the bottom. Since then Ive added it and it seems to be fine. The dominoes are incredible. There’s so much flat grain in those tenons that glue to the flat grain in the stool that there’s really no way for it to shift.
Niceeeeeeee broooooooooo

Add this to the wood whisperer guild. I’d buy it.
You’ll be happy to know that Marc and I will be doing this project this year fort the Guild:)
Festools are expensive but I see why they’re the best
do you find any issues overtime between the glue joints @ 5:03 due to the change in grain direction?
What a great project! Anywhere I can buy your plans?
The wood whisperer and I will be doing this stool together and he’ll be offering it through the Guild. We did the Hank chair last year and will be adding a couple more this year.
Using that dish takes a special hand. I never mastered it. Looks easy. Isn't.
Practice... You’ll get it. I always find that the less thinking the better. It’s really easy to overthink.
Hi friend, fantastic, fine your job. Do you sell the plans of this chair? Thanks you
Alberto Lara Thank you! I do not sell the plans. Although Marc (The Woodwisperer) and I are breaking this project down with templates, plans and an instructional video. It should be coming out at the end of the year. You’ll be able to purchase it through the Guild.
I wish you would sell the forms
So real question. Are we just waiting for the festool domino patent to run out (or something) so that other companies can make cheaper versions of it?
If only getting one of the whiteside spiral pattern bits, is the combo the way to go and just remove one of the bearings for thick stock?
For me, the top bearing one is the best. Ive tried taking the bottom bearing off the combo bit and unless you cut the material really close the stub that the bearing slips over will get in the way
Faltan las medidas y quedamos ok
Are plans available for download?
No plans for this one. He just did a chair project for the Wood Whisperer Guild though.
would have been nice if there were. I could see 4 of them in my office.
@@voidFutureVector That doesn't mean you can't make them. In the full series he pretty much walks you through the whole build.
Aaron Price Hey Aaron. This project will be offered through he Guild later this year but if you cant wait I agree with Woodcrafts comment. Mess around with sketching ideas out on a sheet of plywood. It doesn’t have to be exactly like this one.
what kind off wood is that ??
He's using Black Walnut for the chair build.
How can I get paper tamplets?
Paulius Zigaitis Soon, the Woodwisperer and I are making this a Guild project.
@@JoryBrighamDesign, thanks so much
Step 1, have a billion dollar tool set.
A crosscut is a crosscut whether you use a tracksaw or a hand saw.
Why do they call it a joiner when it cuts one piece of wood into two? That's the opposite of joining!
It is called a JOINTER, or jointer-planer which is a plane used for preparing a wooden edge for fixing or joining to another edge.
@@WoodcraftSupply Ahhh... that makes more sense.
Please caption your videos. I'm missing out some great content!
We are in process of doing just that, stay linked!...And Thanks!
This video and all Jory's video's are now captioned. Look for all Woodcraft videos going forward to also be captioned, and some from the past as we grandfather some in.
Dont lean back...! Or can you?
Oh you can lean back.
Nice demonstration, great tools but I am sorry to say the design is awkward, stiff, unbalanced and redundant unless you are a lover of that oh so outdated Swedish, Danish, Finland scandahovian design aesthetic. But to each his own. Unfortunately too many skilled craftspersons were never properly schooled in design technique. All the high “art” crafts should have a basic knowledge of the fine arts. Nothing can replace that education.
Wow, that's the best impression of an unbearably pretentious asshole I've ever seen; truly a masterclasses.
