A beautiful testimony to The Babes and to Geoff Bent. As a United fan it is just so special to know of these things. Painful but, at the same time, wonderful. Well done, Steve.
I'm a city fan will always respect these lads, also use to live 2 doors from the colman family in ordsall, and remember his funeral rip you reds from a blue.
Thanks Sandy I know genuine city fans back then used to go and watch united one week and city the next and visa versa.. it’s a tragedy that brought Manchester together x
Went there a few years ago around about the time of the Munich air disaster anniversary. Also went to see Eddie Colman's headstone in Ordsall Cemetery.
Still gets to me and I am 77 years old was united mad at school and found out the tragic news on a rainy morning when my friend told me about the crash rip all. Time does not ease the pain.
Aw mate that was a great nod to the Munich lads. Geoff was so unlucky, never even played in the match. I never knew Johnny Aston's DAD played for UTD. Just googled him and was born in Prestwich. My dad would have loved this, he always talked about the disaster all the way through his life...Stretford lad born me dad...thanks Steve for that...brilliant mate👏👏👏
Enjoyed this from USA! I could hardly hear you at the beginning but your sound got better toward the end! Good luck with your channel! I did subscribe!
@@gerry4915 Thanks for watching Gerry…It’s tragic still after all this time..you could see the impact it would have in the modern game if the same things happened now
Thanks for watching Vonne.. we’ve been brought up with the disaster since being small.. we have a connection with the team every United fan feels the pain
@@theparadoxclub1326 🥰Perfectly understandable all tragedies stick with us from an early age , but unfortunately they was a whole group of people, teams and a community heartbreaking xx
Until Byrne was injured at Highbury Geoff wasn’t even due to travel and would have really made his name in the recovery afterwards such a shame left a wife and daughter
