- CAMPUS JAX JUMPS TO “FEED THE NEED”
IN ORANGE COUNTY! #JaxFeedTheNeed
Newport Beach, CA (May 2020) Thirty-year local restaurant owner, Jack Jasper, is fired up and firing back on the COVID! In re-opening his Newport Beach Campus JAX restaurant, Jack’s top priorities were safety and how best to utilize his venue to help the local community. In April he launched a program to provide meals for those most at risk… front line caregivers, the elderly, and the homeless.
“FEED THE NEED” PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
The first orders made from the kitchen were JAX specialty Char Grilled Cheeseburgers and Fries hand-delivered to 40 frontline caregivers at a local elderly care facility.
The following week Jack personally funded, made, and delivered #250 meals to Mary’s Kitchen for the homeless.
After a social media asking for sponsors and donations to keep meals coming to FEED THE NEED! Within a matter of minutes, Jack had his first responder! An entire lunch was sponsored for #75 homeless women through the local shelter WisePlace.org The sponsor Eve Chauvel was acknowledged on Facebook and emails with a combined reach of over 30k Campus JAX and JACKshrimp restaurant fans
Jack started “JAX Feed The Need” via GoFundMe to allow for any sized donations big or small, while still seeking full or part sponsorships directly. Corporate or individual sponsors can choose where their donations go and get the added benefit of great advertising in the process.
Everybody wins with #JAXfeedtheneed! Front liners and caregivers get much-needed support, the homeless get nourishment which helps keep our entire community safer, restaurant workers stay employed, local venue stays operational and is repurposed in the am to provide this much-needed service, the donors get to make an immediate difference and directly impact their own community! And it feels really really good!!
GIVING BACK THROUGH WEEKLY REMOTE STREAMING SHOWS FEATURING GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING ARTISTS
Campus JAX musicians, supported by the JAX Hideaway entertainment and production crew started weekly streaming shows with Grammy award-winning, national artists, celebrities, and top local musicians within the first few days of the shelter in place orders. Campus JAX was one of the very first operators helping to support live music, hard-hit musicians, and provide music lovers with a much-needed break from the news and Netflix. These weekly programs, Steamers Jazz at JAX and StellarJAX Eclectic American Roots continue to be created remotely with hundreds of man and woman hours under the collaborative leadership of JAX Entertainment producers Tim Ellis, Tony Guerrero, Terence Love, and Christopher Burkhardt. Together they have broadcast 13 shows with 2 more coming this weekend, May 10. Music has always played a significant role throughout history’s most challenging times and is even more important today.
