@@janeblundellarti could give you specific things, but i feel like, what you want to share will always be better, then what people expect from you, i hope it makes sense.
Very helpful Jane, as always! I bought the Kakimori nib after trying yours, and loved it. Not sure I would put these inks in one of my pens, since I prefer waterproof inks, but I will probably buy that bright set to play around with. Thank you for posting this, and I hope people will go to your website and discover one of the best resources for all artists, especially those who love watercolor and inks. Hands down-you are the best!❤
Thank you Tricia. I have plans to create a number of short UA-cam videos on different aspects of watercolour, pens, inks, brushes and so on - feel free to send me suggestions!
Hi Hippo 😃. Not really; the mat has some marks to the right of the water bowl and below it. And there is one tiny spot to the extreme left, 6.5 squares down. 😂😂
@@awatercolourist you are really looking closely! I've had it for many years and it has picked up some permanent ink marks but I clean it regularly as that is the surface I use form my paintings as well as for cutting stuff.
@@janeblundellart I love swatching videos! I also love your stone and rock paintings so it would be nice to see how you paint them. But at the end, it’s your channel, share whatever you like 😊.
I love my Kakimori inks, and have made some very nice mixes with them. I find they get a little bit more waterproof if given a good long time to dry, or hit with the heat gun. But I think Octopus sketch and draw inks have leapfrogged over them to number one in my heart. Thanks for the swatches Jane!
Octopus Inks have created more and more colours, but I haven't tried any yet. I'm still using De Atramentis as my go-to for pigmented waterproof inks. I might have to go searching...
So great to see a new post from you I love my Kakimori pen I got because of your posting and these inks are lovely to go with great colors and I love the travel size as well Thanx again I’ve missed you 💖🥰💖
I was in tokyo recently and picked up some of their ink. They're so pretty and the bottles for the full sizes are very unique! I need to find more of a reason to use them though. I feel like I always want to watercolor over ink drawings and these smudge a bit even though the packaging said it should be water resistant
Yes there is a difference between 'waterproof' and 'water resistant'. It makes a very big difference when using watercolour. It can also vary with different papers.
Hi Jane. Reading the comments and you seem to be looking for suggestions, here are some humble ideas. You have a plethora of great articles on your blog that could be translated to youtube. E.g your view on some paper/sketchbook, your favourite items like fountain pens/ink, or your current sketch travel setup. Also good to have some information on what’s happening, exhibition you have, courses/workshops dates, etc. Always good to watch/read your content, keep them coming.
Thank you for sharing. As the ink is not stored on the nib, how would it dry out? Or, was that referencing putting this ink into a traditional pen? Hmmm….😊
I bought them from a store in Sydney called Milligram. However you may well find them locally or you can buy them directly from Japan - from Kakimori.com kakimori.com/en/products/k23kksst04
Who doesn't love to spend a moment at Jane's desk. Thank your for sharing. ❤
Indeed!
Is there something in particular that you'd like me to share??
@@janeblundellartanything tutorial"ish" would be lovely. But what you feel like to share will feel good.

I love how immaculate your swatching is.
That green cutting mat is immaculate. 🧐
