      Look up a standard WAF armwrestling table and use those dimensions. With those measurements the video should make everything else possible.
      I actually made one also but I used 2x4s I already had as the base of the table and for the legs, and then added padding very similar to yours over the 2x4 base obviously so its not so hard... and to avoid splinters.
      For my pads (7"×7"×2") I used 2 2x4s(which are actually only 1.5" thick) that I have together, kept straight with handmade dowls. And I have a small roll of cork that is 1/4" thick. I covered the 2x4 with 2 layers of the cork to assure its 2" thick. Then to smooth it, I applied some Anti-Slip Vinyl Floor Tape (I say floor tape bc we use it at work to mark certain zones in our warehouse). With that Vinyl Tape over the cork, it gives a very nice feel.
      My pegs, yeah those are very custom at the moment. Ill just say they work fine but Im in the process of adding pegs that are a bit more traditional.

    @thejuiceman4213 5 років тому +2

    looks great and all but i can see this whole thing falling apart under heavy load might be ok if you are 145lbs or lower. I'm only about 180 and im pretty sure my quad flex on its own would be loosening those leg fixings. it's wiggling a serious amount just from you doing warm up back pressure cupping curls. what other material would you recommend constructing to make a stronger base frame (legs ect)

    • @AlbertDing
      @AlbertDing  5 років тому +3

      I'm 190 on a daily and no, it doesn't move. You can't loosen it, but I don't doubt your quads are strong. The pipes are thicker than you may imagine... much thicker than the square frame of a combat table. The movement is the rubber feet I put on the bottom. But yes, I think I need to show it in action to be more convincing.. Even a combat armsport will move if not plated to the ground. If I were to make one that isn't a DIY, I would TIG weld attachments for bolting square tubing together. But just an interesting factoid: With a 60" (I am using 40") pipe , it can have a center load of 1000 lbs for a deflection of 1/2",... and it will probably rebound after relieved.

    • @thejuiceman4213
      @thejuiceman4213 5 років тому

      @@AlbertDing Awesome , it was less the metal tubing than the joiners you used that my concern was about i'm very bottom heavy coming from a background in Rugby and power lifting , I'm all lower body at 5'9 but the more i train the more i realize how little i really use my legs unless going into a press. most of the guys i train with are 240-300 , i'm the only lighter guy in the team. which is where the issue would be for me. we have 2 tables but looking at expanding so we can all get more table time. appreciate the reply, Thankfully DiY for myself is no issue i have acess to all the machinery that would be required , engineer by trade. i've just never really tested those connectors you use , we'd usually be welding things. and only ever saw the likes of bar railings and such fastened with those connectors. so i was unsure about their durability.

      @@AlbertDing What do you think about using a kitchen top as a table top ? i have some spare left over and i can't see why not other than the thickness of it. obviously i would cover the laminate with some kind of fabric and sand edges down to being smooth. however i'm not sure what kind of centre down pressure 1inch - 1 and 1/4 inch chipboard with laminate would be. seems quite solid and heavy but would it hold the pressure ?

    You really shouldn't be wearing gloves when using power tools. If any part of the gloves gets caught it will be nasty!

    • @AlbertDing
      @AlbertDing  6 років тому +4

      Good point, but these are thin disposables. if they got caught on anything, like the drill press, they would simply fall apart.

    • @AlbertDing

      Hello. I still trade to assist in my future goal of creating a haven for dogs and cats. This video was made in 2016... just never had a chance to finish it. I trade, but mainly for myself at the moment since I can't promise anyone everyday assistance in trading. I have a group of friends that want to learn trading, but need help from the very beginning. I have a series that will begin by New Years 2018. If you are interested, please contact me on Skype. Cheers.

    Good stuff. I've decided to clear out the garage to build me a gym, already got some equipment. Next project will be an arm wrestling table. Your design is very nice and solid, and the portability is great too. I hope you dont mind if I attempt to copy it!!!
    I'm also going to document all of this and put it up here on youtube... trying to work on many new skills at once! You have inspired me even further. I am glad to have found you. I will subscribe, trading is also a future prospect of mine... you are like a one stop shop for me! Thank you for the uploads!

    Your table looks amazing. Two questions: does your table sit 40 inches high and would it be possible to order one from you?

    • @AlbertDing
      @AlbertDing  6 років тому +22

      Thanks! Yes, it's 40 inches. Sorry, i simply don't have the time or room at the moment. But, i'll keep you posted if I ever do. Thanks for the support!

  • @watchman9198

    Wait so we’re your pin pads 10” or 12”? Because The WAF says 12 but other sites say 10?
    Please answer!!

    • @AlbertDing
      @AlbertDing  4 роки тому

      Heya Tyler. My pads are 10" in length. I'm pretty sure the 12" pin pad was possibly an old dimension design. I'm assuming this bc the WAF site has the pic with 12" pads dated at year 2000. The 2014 pdf and the written dimensions on the site states 10".

      I definitely wouldn't mind making them.. But, the cost for shipping would be ridiculous, I think. Maybe someday.
