I wish the news media would stop calling these people “mission specialists “.
They were defined as "mission specialists" for legal purposes because the vehicle wasn't licensed to carry tourists. It was a legal loophole, but technically correct to refer to them by that designation (at least retrospectively).
Put more emphasis on “special”
“With exploration, there is risk.” Ok, but that isn’t the full story of what happened here… this isn’t about an exploration that went awry, it was about an entire company being built on a lie for profit.

This guy probably thought he was God like. He ignored every warning from his employees and other specialists that this was not safe. He was arrogant and cared more about his fame than people's lives. If he was some evil genius he wouldn't have put himself in the Titan sub. He just was arrogant and too "positive."

Cuz they're fascinated with it. Some people have interests that other people can't relate to or understand. Simple as that.
Over the years the ship has changed with the metal degrading due to the ocean water and want to see what is still left of it.

The trip went terribly wrong bc S.Rush was at the helm of a submersible made out of home depot materials. The 3 adults with him were dumb af and the a son knew it was a disaster in the making. He just wanted to please his dad. Imagine the look on dad's face when both him and his son started hearing the crackling noises in that starfish of the sea tunacan they were stuck in with no way to escape.
All I needed to know is he went against regulations using carbon fiber in a submersible. FAAFO.

There are no "regulations." Also the US Navy had tested some carbon fiber diving vessels. So the Ocean Gate folks built on those ideas but very poorly and without regard to ensuring a good design.

You would have to be insane to think that there wouldn't be any kind of danger getting into any submersible and going to visit a wreck 2 km underneath the ocean. I'm sure there was concerns about the thrasher and the scorpion and those were both government approved subs.

Titan CEO Stockton Rush fired one of his engineers who wrote him a letter of concern on the reliability of the carbon fiber hull. Stockton was arrogant, naive, attention seeking, and put lives at risk for his “explorer” mindset.
would the crew have heard loud noises of the carbon fibre hull started to fail prior to implosion?

This report really didn't reveal anything new other than 1 picture of video showing more. Otherwise, from day 1 people have been saying what was presented on this weak report.
