There was a bit of a vent built up in there... but I have my reasons. I have a great feel now of who is best for certain cards so being a grading "mercenary" makes more sense. But their vintage grading is far too strict right now and PSA has "coincidentally" loosened up a smidge. Just can't take the chance when PSA cards have so much more value. The cheaper bulk rates don't make up for it either if they are under-grading routinely. Trying to get Part 2 ready now, Part 3 is set for Sunday afternoon. They will still get plenty of cards from me I'm sure. I think PSA just gets my bulk orders again from now on. Thanks Aaron!
Sorry for all the issues you have with SGC. However, I think you pretty well with a lot of your cards. Seeing your Carter makes me want to send mine in for grading. It looks great in the tux! Take care and have a great weekend, my friend!
They are just far too harsh on any Topps card pre-1987 now for a while and it just feels like I'm sending my cards out to be lessened in value. I'll do a video of my undergraded SGC PC cards eventually and it's ridiculous. I could crack every one I subbed and get a grade higher at PSA. I'm just worried it will bug me to crack them eventually. If PSA runs a crossover from other slab special, I may send 50 vintage RCs in SGC slabs to them immediately. The service is overpriced in my opinion right now. I totally agree on the Carter! It does look awesome tuxed, although you saw mine so weighing your options would be my best advice using the grading standards. SGC is not obeying their own right now. I want to say there is an old (beat-up) vintage Pepper coin-op machine in one of the small towns nearby outside of an old store or gas station. I love these old rural towns. I'll have my eyes peeled!
I have given up on guessing grades. I expect a 1 on my stuff and keep expectations low. Always good to learn a bit about how you collect, my friend.
