I love his fearless attitude in tackling difficult questions. This way of thinking has been buried in the current culture of the U$A. He uses his mind as a laboratory and goes wherever logic/reasoning takes him. Very refreshing.
Scientific truths are acquired by observation, the objective is impartial and can only be improved upon. Thank you Professor Bertrand Arthur William Russell.
Nice. I read in high school long ago. But, do not recommend to the philosophy student. Logicism is false. And, he gets QM and GR wrong. Math is without a foundation (and doesn’t need one), but consistency and completeness proof for fields or systems are still useful. We are just left with a patchwork and one I doubt category theory will stitch because (well see my forthcoming book). I do think however that despite its faults and errors AJ Ayer’s *Language, Truth and Logic* is the best first book in philosophy.
History of Western Philosophy is a great reference guide. Russell was so brilliant.

Yes. ! Even if you disagree with him it's
great exercise to discuss / debate with him..!! He was not invariably right !!
And over relied on Logic .!!

totally agree w/ you there
Bertrand Russell was awesome. I'm glad he lives on through the modern magic of film and video. Immagin seeing and hearing Plato or Arisrotle.
He clarified the exact meaning of words, to make philosophy more like science.
Terms seem to come from vagueness and mysticism, and are then given a strict terminological treatment by brave logicians! Thrilling stuff!
What's brave about it?
Oh! That comic pic of Russel is oh so accurate, it's fabulous.
Good lecture
UA-cam ,how could you put Bertrand Russell in the same page than tucker Carlson ?
Russell would have been proud!
Thanks
I love Bertrand. I have just finished my Nobel Prize for Literature work. @devereuxmatthew
