Well done, sir. Straight replacement of the thermostat with no flushing. Well if it doesn't need a full flush sure, good to go. I always flush the system when I change anything doing with coolant. A few things I would like to see, was how you installed the thermostat and any prep work along with it. I also agree with Philip Shields. All in all decent/good video. Perfect practice makes perfect,:).
@@TechTimeWithT hey may I ask you a question I have a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe and it engine overheats and both fans are working properly and radiator is good what you think it is and how to fix it thanks anyways nice video keep up the great work I subscribe and like
Don't forget to have the giggle pin at the highest point '12 o'clock' when reinstalling. My Haynes manual stresses this point. Flushing is recommended before replacement. Remove thermostat, reinstall thermostat housing, flush with water hose in top of radiator (water will flow from removed upper hose you take off top of radiator). Have heater control on high heat and remove two plugs from engine block to drain fully before refilling.
Very informative video..thanks for posting. And when you buy the coolant, make sure is the correct one alot of people do not know this..they are4 or 5 different kinds.. And they are NOT interchangeable...you cannot mix them...if you dont know which one your car takes...ask the guy at the parts counter.

What's the torque spec for the housing ?
Please check the manual for the torque specs. I tightened just enough with my strength as long don’t stripped the threads.
Very thorough. Thanks 😊
