    Hi everyone :) So I'm taking a break from posting ODS videos/answering comments for personal reasons and am loving all of the community support I've seen in the comment sections! Im hoping this continues and everyone can use these videos as a source of relationship building and information sharing! Every one of you are amazing and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! Hooyah Navy! ⚓

      You probably dont care but does someone know a tool to log back into an instagram account?
      I stupidly forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.

      It looks like someone had commented Instablaster but removed the comment. Otherwise I have no idea -- sorry!

    Jess, first off great videos. I have a daughter who will be attending ODS in the next couple of years (Navy PA HPSP) and will recommend them to her prior to attendance. I am a retired Captain and would like to add some clarification to the Rank and recognition video. Officer pay grades are broken up into four main categories: CWO2 to CWO5 are Warrant Officers; O1 to O4 (ENS to LCDR) are Junior Officers; O5 and O6 (Commander and Captain) are Senior Officers (remember "scrambled eggs" on their covers) and then you have Flag Officers (Admirals). Regarding E1 to E3, it is totally appropriate to refer to them as Seaman/Corpsman/Airman/Fireman...it is their rank! Otherwise how do you address them "Hey you"...

      Good afternoon, Sir and thank you for your service! Additionally, thank you for the clarification, I was an E-3 such a long time ago, I had completely forgotten what we were called. I hope that your daughter's experience at ODS goes smoothly and her Naval career is just as successful as yours. Thank you again.
      Very Respectfully,
      Jess and Jakii

      I'm so glad to hear that! Definitely enjoy your time there as much as you can, especially during the last two weeks (that's when you get to do firefighting, saving the ship from drowning, and learn more about your specific career path in the navy).

    Can you or anybody on this forum help me out with a question about the Student Required Knowledge, I have most of it memorized verbatim, especially the 6 Articles, the 11 General Orders, Sailor's Creed, Mission of the Navy, Navy Core Values, etc... However, I'm really struggling to memorize verbatim the CNO's 4 Core Attributes to Guide Navy Leaders (Integrity/Accountability/Initiative/Toughness). For your class, how often was everybody tested on that one?

      Hi there! I'd live to help out :) So you will most likely only be tested on that during your uniform inspection which will happen two times (unless you fail then you'll have to redo it). You'll have PLENTY of time to study before and after meals and during free time

    Hi
    When you graduate from ODS, what will their rank be?

    • @JessandJakii
      @JessandJakii  9 місяців тому

      Hi :) it depends on the person and their program. Could be anywhere from O1 to O3

    That sounds exhausting trying to remember all those ranks.

      It definitely is when you first get started but it gets easier with time :) Unfortunately, Ive been in for over 10 years now and still hardly know any of the other branch ranks 😂😂😂

      I am, they made us commission prior to starting the program. I'm the only Sailor in the class.
