Re-amp guitar, bass or MIDI instruments

I almost always use a DI box when recording a bass guitar, and, when I remember(!), try to do the same with an electric guitar. This allows me to use a ReAmp box after the session to add in new sounds to my project to help improve the overall quality of the finished song recording. It allows me to manage the spill issues that can be problematic when recording bands in small spaces, and then, subsequently, I can add in a bass amp, use additional effect pedals, or change microphone types and positions or use multiple amps, all at a later date. I can also use a ReAmp box to add colour or depth to MIDI instrument recordings - or anything at all really. I've even used it on a vocal, running it through a distorted amp, as an effect.
