Yeah I think I have a feel for my tools until I watch one of these and just stare at the sheer mastery this man has with his equipment. I find it incredibly satisfying to watch these videos and see what comes out of the wood blanks afterwards

I mean there are a lot of amazing bow woods in North America. Yews, Osage Orange, Junipers (which although sometimes brittle and hard to make produce exceptional fast bows), hickory and black walnut

@@nathanielhartsuff2336 compound bows are like regular bow's in that the force is produced by bending of the limbs. Compound uses a system of cams and pulleys to increase this force whereas this bow has a simple spring mechanism on each of the pivoted arms.
The bow is not a 'compound bow' but rather a decorative toy, albeit very nicely made.
