- Here is a quick look at the new Snap 4 Luxe from Ohsnap! They are still in Pre-order but I was able to get one and figured a quick first look and comparison may help some people. I am not affiliated with Ohsnap! Just trying to share info a gadget I really like. Works with Apple or Android phones like Samsung, Google Pixel, etc. As always please leave any questions or comments below! Thanks for watching.

Appreciate the video! I was hesitating on pulling the trigger, but I think you've convinced me lol. I currently used a pop socket and it's a little bulky. I've got it on a metal plate too, so twice the bulk.
Just popped mine on yesterday my initial feelings are very positive.

Definitely gonna order the Snap 4 Luxe considering the better connection pieces, material, and Black Friday Discount. The Snap 3 was nice for about the first week and a half until the piece the round pop out part clicks into starts to get worse and currently doesn’t even click in place. Not only that but the glue came undone and the round pop out piece snapped in half. It seems that OhSnap really improved the design with the magnet connection and use of metal. Plus the pieces to open the pop out part don’t require digging your finger underneath which damaged the infrastructure.
I didn't have the same issue with the clicking in, but the magnet is so much better.
@@russellsrandomness i saw somewhere that the S pen from ultra 23 has issues dues to the magnets from the snap 4, is that true? I am super interested in this product, i also need to get a smooth case to make use of it. currently using a textured UAG case.

Does OhSnap Grip hold on a magnetic case without sticking?
cracked up seeing the magnet jump out of your hand and onto the phone lol. thanks for the review, definitely picking this up, I had my old Snap 3 replaced (for free, great customer support), but the Snap 4 solves the issues of Snap 3.

I have a question. So what if I use different cases? Is the adhesive gonna wear out or am I gonna struggle taking on and off as I switch cases?

I just got one.....works goof for me so far and blew my mind it sticks my s22ultra to the fridge...lol. didn't think it would hold..... it does!!!

Talks about all the feature of a pop socket except the feature that makes a difference. The MagSafe charging!!! How good/fast is it? Does it work on MagSafe stand?
Thinking of pulling the trigger on this - I have an S24Ultra. Concerned about the S-Pen performance. Anyone have issues with this? I also have an ESR magsafe case, and I might not use the adhesive.
how strong is the connection with just the magnet?

Can you charge via MagSafe through it? Will it work if trying to use a MagSafe car mount?
Yes and yes. I’m not using the actual Apple MagSafe charger but an ESR and it works nicely
I had the snap 3 pro and now I have the snap 4. The snap 4 is so much better. The magnetic closure is satisfying and the stand is better. I like how you can now position it in two different angles instead of one like the snap 3
Totally agree with this. I had to replace multiples of the 3 because the holder part kept breaking. The 4 feels better.
Oh snap 2 seems like the best iteration. Although it's thicker it's got thst rubber band which is pretty comfortable around the finger snd it's very easy to "open" just push your finger against the flat part and it'll slide through
I started using them with the snap3 so i'm not familiar with that design.
Yes, the 2 was definitely peak design. What a downgrade 3 was having to actually "open" something. Being able to just slide my finger through it was ideal.
I suppose they had enough feedback that a two finger popsocket hold was more popular and there was no way to do that one handed, but its a shame.
wish they would combine the one handed compatibility/band of the 2 with the "luxe" of 2/4 + magnet strength of the 1 luxe.
those might put popsocket on their toes a little

These guys are crazy… OhSnap 2 durability was definitely messed up, elastic band ripping all the time. I just got the ohsnap 4 and there is nothing difficult about using the new design and the magnet is STRONG. Was definitely worth the wait

The phone case you have for your s23 ultra what brand is it? I've been trying to find a good case lately that would fit well with the ohsnap

Just to be clear, your case is not magnetic? In the video It sort of looks like it had magnetism pulling it down when you were sticking it. But perhaps that's just the phone itself?
In any case, the adhesive is strong enough to handle being pulled off of, say, a MagSafe mount?

My phone and case are not magnetic, it is just held on by the adhesive and i have not had any issues with it coming off. Pretty strong stuff.
hi, are you able to do a wireless charging, NFC, and S Pen functionality test? Especially the S Pen because I know magnets can cause issues and interference with it, and the S Pen will not draw properly.
Sure! Give me a few days, other things goin crazy right now, but I'd be glad to do those test.... seems like they'd help out.
Ditto for the request, thank you! I'm wondering if wireless charging makes it heat up too much. I've had other kickstands that were aluminum that got super hot with wireless charging.
I ordered the Snap 4 luxe, but mine won't be shipping till mid December, I'm thinking of getting the snap 3 till I receive the snap 4, what would you recommend i use as a stop gap till i get the snap 4?

I commented below somewhere, but I got an email from the company saying: " Thanks so much for reaching out and awesome question! Yes, unfortunately during our testing with the s-pen there is interference caused by the magnetic field created by the Snap 4.
If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!" what's your take and experience so far with this issue? can you provide a video with how it's working with S pen? Please.
I hav the snap 3 n I've owned both the snap 1 n 2 as well, but I haven't bought the snap 4. From my experience, I used to have this problem with the magnet interfering with the s-pen when I bought the snap 2 n 3 where we could directly put it on the case without metal ring. However, snap 1 didn't hav this problem with the s-pen bc the grip was attached to a metal ring.
In other words, simply adding a metal ring between the snap 4 n ur phone case might solve ur issue with the s-pen, but it kind of ruins the point of the adhesive it came with and adds a little thickness to the grip (it still charged tho bc I have a thin case so the added thickness didn't affect my wireless charging).
Anyone knows if this can be bought in Europe?
I got mine this week. With the snap car mount and the wireless charger. But when installing the car charger and car mount it magnetically gets stuck to the mount and removes it from the phone. Might you know why?

@shawnmonga2076 sorry to hear that. It looked like the magnet were pulling too tight to the others and pushing the middle away ,thus causing it to fall off of phone. I couldn't find a fix. I'm waiting for their reply. But I might have to return it. :/
I just got an email stating they are sending me a replacement. Honestly, I doubt that's going to fix anything. But we shall see. Will update when I receive it
@@mxl_31 hmm that is interesting, I stick mine on things all the time and have never had it pull off. I don't currently have any magsafe chargers, just wireless pads. But when sticking onto anything metal it's been fine.

I have had some work fine on the 2nd case, and some that the adhesive does get a bit messed up when removing.
Are the supports also made of aluminum or are they plastic?
the supports/trusses/suspension whatever ya wanna call it is plastic. They feel quite nice really, and they claim rated for over a million cycles. I did end up breaking one of mine on the old version but it was nearly 2 years old and on 2 phones.
Thanks for the video. It looks like it pops out the same as the snap 3, I find it very difficult to slide my fingers underneath it, so I always keep my popsocket on top of it. I take off the popscket when I go to the gym, because the magnetic feature of the snap 3 is awesome. I hope they come up with a solution.
It pops out differently, it is held in place by magnets which makes it much easier to open one handed. I also find it more comfortable than the snap3 when holding it.

I ordered 2 if these 1 for me and 1 for a gift and after trying to charge with wireless charging it almost melted the charger it got so hot. Too risky to use so i told my friend to not use it its s shame cause it does look nice and it helps holding but not being able to wireless charge safely is a deal breaker im not risking my 1600 dollar phone. I sent them an email and they immediately refunded both orders didnt even ask to return it...
But you cant take the snap on and off tho :(
The magnet doesn't interfere when you use the s pen to take notes

I'm using normal Samsung wireless chargers, no magsafe products as of yet.

Is it difficult to switch to another case??
My last one I had I was able to pop it off the old phone and onto a new case with no issues. Little alcohol will revitalize the adhesive.

My first one (snap 3 pro) was amazing. I used it for over a year on multiple phones. The next one i had ans adhesion issues but their customer support was on point!
Did you clean your phone or case with alcohol first? I did and it holds my heavy Galaxy 23 Ultra

absolutely, one of the biggest benefits. Any magsafe or normal wireless charger works.
Warning! Magsafe charging does not work through a Mous Limitless 5.0 case
I also have a Mous Limitless 5.0 case. Mine didn’t work for other chargers and I contacted Ohsnap. They said to get a MagSafe charger from them and I did. The charging does work with their charger and for some reason, started to work with the other chargers. I can’t get them to work with certain chargers, however, I can charge through about 90% of MagSafe chargers in the wild. This includes the 3-in-1 chargers, and certain car wireless chargers.
after a lot of use this is similar to my experiences, some wireless chargers work fine, some are really picky about position, and some just flat out dont work. I havn't tried a magsafe though just wireless pads
I can't believe people are paying 40$ for this ridiculously fragile thing thtypu attach 800-1500$ phones on. Watching you play with it, it looks like you're going to break the hinges in like a week. Also you really need to align it with your wireless charging ring. It's never dead center.
I have had no issues with wireless charging, nor things breaking unexpectedly. It looks fragile, but is actually quite robust.
Ohsnap is shady as a company. Blocking profile on Facebook because I pointed that there shipping is awful and takes very long time. For them it was easier just to remove the comment and block me instead of proving me wrong. Shady shady shady company.
I got my order in about 5 business days.
