Salut mon vieux Ufffffff !
The sort of results whish could happen if JMJ did some collaborative work with other artists from various genres. Either live or in the studio. Excellent work!
¡Gracias, pero no exageremos! No, grabé Equinoxe en 2014 solo por diversión. Debería hacer otras portadas, pero no tengo tiempo. Saludos desde Francia.
Your part 5 cover magically transports me at the very first time I listened to the original, and this is very interesting because is like seeing an object from a different angle of what you are accustomed to, it makes me think that the original is a bit cheesy as well, but your version gives some freshness!
This makes me think "could have been done, with no synths, in the 60s etc", what I mean is, around the time of the idea of it, could have been done, with zero synth involvement, and it would STILL sound like something proper - imagine if you walked onto America's Got Talent with this!
Maybe, this would be better if drums are more acoustic and more rock-style with the deeper bass-drum. Because here, the drum section floating somewhere on the shallow surface.
Thank you for your comment. Very good analysis! The problem is that my microphones are not professional at all. This have been made with very cheap equipment. I'm not please with this drums sound. I'm agree with you...
@@gouinsh24 Man, I'm very glad you agree... Also, I want to say that all sections are awesome! The guitar is brilliant! You were able to convey all synth sound spirit into the guitar sequences. Dude, it's awesome, I never hear something similar!!! Just keep creating, keep making new remixes, I very much want to hear more. Really! ;)
Ah, I see there is somebody else with similar ideas like I have... here is my Rock-version of Equinoxe5: ua-cam.com/video/jW0aFKLK4b8/v-deo.html Very well done! The only thing I'm missing in your video are the arpeggios in Equinoxe 5 - they must have got lost in the mix 🙂
Hi. You're right, this is NOT Jarre, it's an Equinoxe cover. BUT the aim of this cover is to play the song WITHOUT synths, with only cheap rock instruments. Why not an acoustic cover? An orchestral cover? Everything is possible. A song covered with too much similitaries is not really a cover as far as I am concerned. It's better if you appropriate yourself the song with your own style. (Sorry for my english that is really no good)

Man i love this kinda music, but i never heard it in this style but it sounds great.
Absolutely fascinating ...
This is super innovative, we need more rock and metal covers of JMJ, keep up the excellent work!
Awesome, a lot of work has gone into this
Thanks Mark...
Equinoxe 5 - Great bass runs .... A Great cover of a classic Jean-Michel Jarre track
J'aime beaucoup Jean Michel
Que veut dire tu es formidable
EXCELENTE TRABAJO!!!! Felicitaciones!
The transition from 3:05 to the final act is done superbly!
Thank you man!
Best music

Greetings from Mexico. Great cover!
Waow, Mexico! Thanks for tour comment Enrique.
Jarre is great musician.

Thanks for your message. This cover has been made very quickly with cheap instruments. You're right, we need more rock covers of Jarre!
Merci pour ce très bon moment... ;)
Keep up the good work!
Thanks !
Sounds like Beach Boys revisits JMJ. Well done!
Thanks !
super boulot!!! bravo!!
Merci pour le commentaire.
Fantastic version of part V! Could even have been done with three flamenco guitars, but this is superb!

a dam fine effort
Very different from Patrick Rondat's version and the version of The Shadows.
I just play it according to my style, lowly. Thanks for your comment
Guys this rocks!
Equinoxe 4 cover sounds like "Run like Hell" from Pink Floyd
Yes, because of the echo. I played "voicings" in Equinoxe 5, and "Run like hell" riff is played with voicings too... (Sorry for my english)
I would say parts of it sound like the fast strumming in Stevie Nick's Edge of Seventeen too

What does JMJ think of this one? Has he heard it?
If JMJ listen to this, I'll be very please, even if he think that this cover is sh...t!! Thanks for your comment.

Horrible!! Jarre music is made with SYNTHS if not.... it´s not Jarre !!

It is still music, and shows that Jarres music is not dependent on synths. I like it.
JMJ’s music inspires musicians.
