I'm samoa 🇼🇸 but this song 🎵 it's remind me of my fiji 🇫🇯 mana when we work together in New York city i miss the mana so much he always play this song 🎵 when we go for break i will never forget you mana God bless fiji 🇫🇯 ❤️ and samoa 🇼🇸 ❤️ peace ✌️
I was a tour guide in Hawaii back in the early 90s & heard an old Fijian man sing this song, which brought me to tears. Then I heard it on the radio sung by Fiji (Mr. George Veikoso) and still to this day, one of my favorite songs. You two just made me fall in love with this song again, thank you. Vinaka my friends.
what a beautiful comment God bless you
That old Fijian man is the late MR Sakiusa Bulicokocoko

To be a Pacific Islander is such a blessing and privilege. I’m Yapese (Micronesian), born & raised on Oahu, HI, grew up on Hawaiian, Samoan, Tongan, Fijian, Māori music. A big part of that I give credit to Fiji Veikoso for bringing us all closer together in music.
❤️💛💚Pasifika
I’m Tongan and husband is Fijian... every time we’d play this, our baby boy would fall asleep or stops crying 💕💕💕

My papa is from Rotuma an island not far from Fiji and this was one of his favourite songs🥺. Made me cry the first time I heard this version 😭. He would’ve had this on repeat if he was still here🥲So beautiful 🤍🕊.
I heard Rotuma people are more like Polynesians..isat right?
Rotumans are Fijians
I love this song it reminds me of a lovely time I had in Fiji back in late 90s. I will always remember Fiji. Bula.
Never thought the day would come when someone covers Fiji’s song just as good which happens to be another Fijian. This cover is 😍😍
Definitely agree. When a singer sings a song native to their country and in the native tongue definitely hits on a whole other level 🔥🔥💯💯
Fiji's version was also a cover ;)
Ah bit
Fiji has some awesome talented singers now, Polynesians period are some talented people
It's not Fiji's song he just coverd it.
Those 85 people who disliked this, ya'll just haters..this is real talent ryt here👌..
Much love from MicroNation🇫🇲🖤🇵🇼❣️

A love song..
It's a song about a girl who went swimming and drowned and so the whole village mourned her
lia is drowing so they mourn her death
This song is a tribute to a local singer Lia Osborne who drowned a long time ago :( .... in this song they're missing her 🥺
@@DaughterOfFiji its a rlly old song like prob a 100 yr old song- its not abt lia osborne- this an old fijian folk song-
As a kaivalagi I lived in Fiji and worked for 1.5 years. Thus song that the local staff sang to me when I left will stay with me forever! Big love pacific islanders!!
I am an Papua New Guinean but I love Fijians the most.....love this song 👍❤
We love you too,especially me😉😀
IM INDIGENOUS ABORIGINAL FROM AUSTRALIA I ALWAYS LISTEN TO FIJIAN MUSIC ITS SO BEAUTIFUL, I DIDNT WANNA COME BACK WHEN I WAS OVER THERE XO🥰🥰
One of my all time favourites. I think Fiji has reached a point where Itaukei language on YT should be translated to English by now, for all the non-Fijian fans who like Fijian songs. Love from Vanuatu 💚
Finally found the full song. Damn, I can listen to this song all day every day. This is one of my fav Fijian songs. Love from your neighbor the Kingdom of Tonga. Tik tok made me search for the song so bad haha.

The emotions went into that song was deeply heart felt. One thing you can’t coach in singing is “depth “ and this man got that in his arsenal. The way he felt off the note, hit that depth and slowly ascend to balance it off, was absolutely on point. I absolutely love and enjoyed that one........ God bless both of you.
So true
Isa dina sara
Agreed 1000%
Yeah! I not only heard but felt that super controlled cascading and the beautiful ascent as well....inexplicably 🎯🔥. Shout out to Mila as well! Super talent with such humility to effortlessly flow with him🙏❤
I'm a Filipino and cannot understand their song, But Damn! It made me cry literally!
You will know if a singer is great if they can touch your heart even there is a language barrier!
Kudos to these two!
PS. Can someone explain the meaning of this song?
It is a Fijian song about one mans love for a beautiful girl and how he had to overcome many of life's obstacles just to be with her.
Sarap sa ears. 💯💕
My late Dad used to play this song early in the morning to wake us up. Got a copy of this song from a Fijian fellow marine master, Capt. E. Hesaie who gave to me gladly. Bring back old sweet sentimental chilhood into my heart. Love from Mollucas❤️

I'm stuck with this amazing and beautiful song. This is so an underrated song. I'm from Molo'uku-Indonesia. And I'm not gonna lie my brother, the lyrics and tone range of this song is really close with the Moluccan song. We are Pacific Islanders, West Melanesian for sure..
I'm Marshallese and I love this song fr. Much love from the other side of the Islands
I absolutely love this song. So eloquently sang by these two. I’m not Polynesian but I lived in Kaneohe for 3 years on the base and learned all that I could. I even played in the reggae band at school and played piano at a predominantly Polynesian church. I miss going to luaus and spending days on the beach. I learned pigeon and some Samoan. My nick name was Sole lol. One day I will make it back to the island. A hui hou
