@@meliss9536 what do you think about the artiste? What skills were you able to do with it before deciding to change into freestyle? How does the fit of Risport Royals compare to the GH Loop Skates? What are your sizes in the boots? I am now in Edea but used to skate Risport and was considering GH Artistic Inlines for summer training, but I struggle to find information about how the boots fit compared to Risport or Edea Skates.
About how long does it take to receive the risport's brand skates? I just ordered mine today and i was just wondering so they don't take forever lol. :))
I got mine from Figure Skating Store and it took about a week! Super speedy but obviously will depend on where you're getting them from/if your pro shop is ordering them for you.
It's good you bought new skates because those Hamilton's were broken down. I can't believe you kept all your skates and didn't transfer any of your blades! I transfer all my blades so I just have boots left over lol.
Hi! I recently bought Royal Pro and having problems with the tongue. I see you also have a pair; do you have any problem with them? how do you like them so far?
@@MindfulBanter I'm having problem with lacing the top! it keeps slipping down so it doesnt hold/support my ankle. Ive also had my coach tie them but I dont think it's the strength issue when tying the boots, but the boots themselves. Also the tongue is is sticking(?) towards my feet so everytime I skate, my ankle is not supported and other skaters also comment on that too when they watch me skate... its stressing me out!!!!! 😭😭😭
Hm that's weird. And you're definitely using the lace loops in the tongue towards the bottom and just under the hooks right? It could be a manufacturing issue. Maybe get it looked at by the pro shop?
@@MindfulBanter Yeah I'm using all the loops.. I'm in S.Korea and asked other people who have royal pro and they said they are having same issues too 🥲 local pro shop couldnt do much either.. ahhh well thanks for your comment thou!!! happy skating!
I have Jackson’s currently after skating exclusively on reidells. I’m finding the Jackson’s are quite wide in the toe area and wondered in your opinion, is the risport toe area slimmer? I like a really snug skate and the Jackson’s are too wide I think.
I think Risports generally have a toe box somewhere between Riedells and Jacksons at the standard width, so yes, definitely a bit more snug than Jacksons.

thank you for the video Jada! I hope to learn ice dance too because of a lot of beautiful features such as deep edges and generally artistic postures. Can adults learn beginner ice dance moves at an early stage? or do you have to reach a certain level of general skating before going down this route?
As long as you can do forward crossovers and hold a forward outside edge, you can learn your first ice dance pattern! I started pretty much right after basic 4
@@MindfulBanter yeah I just got Jackson premieres so I’m hoping they last but all of my other pairs had good support and I only weigh around 100lbs so idk why they break down so fast lol, it could be the way I jump or something
@@orange5308 it isn't your weight that's the issue it's because the boot isn't stiff enough for you. It's not a bad thing, it just means you need stronger boots. Premieres are pretty thin. They are good for people just learning single jumps but you'll want to bump up if you can already do your singles.
woah woah wait why'd you say "cUsToM SkATeS" like that when talking about GH? I'm just curious because you didn't elaborate on that during the video. My gh skates are coming tomorrow. I'm super excited to try them after having to learn how to skate on Rollerblades all year!
Ah sorry! My GH skates came as a stock boot even though at the time they were marketed as custom (this was before they sold them on the GH website). To my understanding they are truly custom if you ask for it now.
They're a newer skate on the market but they seem like a great beginner boot for basic skills. You might wear them down a bit quickly if you're a heavier adult
For quad skates I would honestly recommend something in the low 200$ range. The boots will be much better quality. Also plastic plates aren't necessarily a bad thing because they are much much lighter, BUT the most important feature on cheaper quad roller skates are by far adjustable toe stops. You can adjust them down as they wear and they tend to not fall out quite as much. Look for discount wheels if you're going to replace the ones on the quads you have. Most of the time there's something cosmetically wrong but nothing else and you'll probably want something in the 80A range for inside. Happy skating!
Usually in figure skating your start with a skate at your level and when you outgrow them skill-wise, you upgrade :) I explain each skate's story in the video.
this was actually very helpful for me to figure out which skates o buy first . I ended up buying the Jackson Freestyle skates :) Thanks
Amazing! Happy skating 😊

Great video Jada, loved to see all your skates! I have risports too rf3 pro and I really like them, they are so comfy, yours are so beautiful 💙⛸
I love them so much 🥺
How do you choose which skate you want to wear? How is the learning curve?
Short answer is...a lot of trial and error! I could make a video about things to look for but best practice is to talk with a skate tech
@@MindfulBanter thank you!
I have a pair of jacksons and I love everything except the height of the boot. it's so high that I'm not able to do my spread eagles.
Yeah I still can't skate in my jacksons haha
Jackson has low rise versions. I use those and they are lovely

They're comparable but there's less cushion in the GH Loops so they fit a lot looser. My royal pros are 260, GH Loops are 7.5
Love your skates! Especially the rollerskates!
Love this video! I’m a beginner skater in the Philly area. I struggle to find a good skate sharpening place. Any recommendations?
Frank's Perfect Edges at the Skatium in Haverford does an amazing job! He's one of the only ones i'll trust without going all the way to Delaware 🥰

"$340-380. I spent a decent chunk of change."
Me laughing as I head to pick up my $750 skates.
I only dance but yeah the tongue did not support me where I needed them anymore. And ditto, new babies are easily $900 combined
Oh all my skates were outfits, i had no choice. Not that mark ivs or mk flights are worth moving to a $480 boot.
